The general mission of a 'Technical Consultant (Build)' position is to provide high quality customer infrastructure implementation support to our customers on an ongoing and re-occurring basis. The 'Technical Consultant (Build)' will report directly to the manager of the Solution Deployment Team Manager. As part of a cross-functional implementation team, the Build engineer will be required to deploy core technical components of our solutions across our customer base and will be involved through all phases of a projects staging and implementation lifecycle to ensure sustainability and readiness for customer production usage.Key areas of Responsibility
- Primary responsibility of this technical engineer will be to provide implementation services by building, Installing, and configuring the IntelliSpace PACS virtual servers per approved processes and procedures
- Work with hardware order team to order and install any new hardware necessary to support a deployment
- Able to deploy advanced solutions on physical and virtual HA VMware environments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Project Managers and Technical Consultants to addressing any pre and post deployment issues.
- Supports in-direct product validation for new software and hardware releases and provide feedback to the staging manager if something is not correct.
- Supports local and global service teams and assists onsite engineers who are facing problems or difficulties with installations in order to achieve a perfect working solution.
oParticipate in Change Management functions related to creating, reviewing and approving Change Request documents to ensure activities are performed following standards.
oPerform post-change review sessions analyze pre, post, and future changes for projects/improvements/compliance.
oOpenly collaboration with team members, other cross-functional teams, and/or customers to complete assigned projects.
oAble to report project progress various reporting tools like Excel or PowerPoint to management.

oAct as the primary build resources for implementation projects. Review project build requirements and build the solution required following the deployment guidelines. Act as advisor to the field/customer as the build resource to answer advanced build and system questions, develop methodology to determine solution sizing and identify pre-determined inputs to be used, and establish design for config sheet.
oAble to independently initiate and lead projects as assigned and complete them within the timeline provided.
oIf need candidate must be able to have open collaboration with team members, other cross functional teams, and/or customers to complete assigned project.
Able to report progress of work to your manager on a re-occurring basis.
Able to report project progress various reporting tools like Excel or PowerPoint to management.
Able to log work time and assignments within the designated timeframe. I.E. timecards, Salesforce, excel, etc.

·Working knowledge of installation and configuration of Windows Server 2008 thru 2019 virtual machines in an enterprise environment
·Hands-on knowledge of management and administration of VMware vSphere / ESXi 5.x / 6.x
·Experience with Powershell or VMware PowerCLI scripting
·Able to troubleshooting connectivity across networks in a VMware based environment
·Practical experience with working on HPE, IBM, Dell brand servers and san based environments running VMware
·Strong diagnostic skills for hardware, storage, and General IT problem solving.
·Network knowledge of default gateways, virtual LANs, static routes, and IP network address space.
·Use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
·Using a CRM to support and document details of customer interactionShift
·Candidate's shift will primary be business hours however may be required to participate in variable rotating on-call schedule or work on projects after hours.Education & Experience Requirements
·5+ years experience in enterprise wide IT server and system deployments. Experience in implementing, supporting, and managing Microsoft Windows virtual server environments.
·Ideal candidate must have Technical Bachelor's Degree or related industry discipline or equivalent related experience / education.
