About the team Hyperlocal is the newest team under the Flipkart umbrella, with the sole mission to provide Best Customer experience & Customer Delight serving the gamut of products under the Flipkart platform. The team would enable Customers with multiple choices of faster deliveries bridging the gap of Urgent Customer Needs with a wider array of selection. The team is a high intensity team with the perfect blend of folks bringing complementary expertise from Fulfillment Centers, Last/Middle Mile & Customer Services. About the role The Incumbent will manage the complete store/warehouse making sure that customer orders are processed within the guardrail. The Incumbent will manage 6-8 people ensuring that operations run smoothly and metrics are achieved. The role also entails managing vendors/transportation activity which is linked to material Inbound & outbound. The incumbent is expected to build stakeholder relationships, prepare RCA's, and maintain inventory reco records.
What you'll do:
. Darkstore Operations Management :
1. Lead operations at a darkstore, while reporting into an Area manager.
2. Ensure quick fulfillment of order while meeting customer expectations and delivery SLAs.
3. Identify improvement areas in operational performance at the darkstore.
4. Measure & improve speed of Inbound and Outbound activities.
5. All L0 metrics deepdive and callout if there is any deviation
6. Troubleshooting shopfloor challenges, and solving for adverse impact events and escalations.
7. Ensure that the dark store achieves its CPS target month-on-month.
8. Ensure all COD Cash to be reconciled daily in system and update in case of any concern
9. To call out any landload related issues / problems and solve it.
10. Responsible for handling the Store Petty cash system (IFMS) and adjusting the amount against pending bills.
. Manpower Management :
1. Manage all on-roll & off-roll staff at a dark store and ensure timely updates on availability and performance of store staff.
2. Manage staff roster, and ensure control on attrition.
. Vendor Management :
Ensure timely clearance of vendor invoices and utility bill payments at the darkstore.
. Inventory management :
1. Maintain End to end Inventory sanity at the DS.
2. Conducting periodic Inventory assessments to control shrinkage at stores.
3. Organize daily disposal and removal of expired products from store inventory.
. Data Analytics & MIS :
1. Delivering on critical organizational metrics, and adopting a data-driven approach to problem solving.
2. Generate timely reports on store activities, and metrics.
3. Sharing reports of day to day activities to stakeholders / Area managers
. Audit & Quality :
1. Ensure that audit scores at the dark store remain well above mandated thresholds.
2. Maintaining Flipkart's standards of hygiene & quality across darkstores.
3. All high value shipments to be audited on a daily basis
4. Identifying improvement areas - Kaizens from store
What you'll need:
. MBA/PGDM from a Tier I Tier II college/Bachelor's Degree from Tier 1 Engineering School
. 4 - 7 years experience with warehousing,supply chain,FMCG
. Strong experience in scaling up of operations or greenfield scaleup experience
. Strong bias for Impact based Action: Flipkart works at a very rapid pace & that is what would be expected.
. Strong analytical approach to problem-solving with a metrics-driven focus
. Constantly thinks outside the box leads others to success and drives change to influence others in order to achieve results.
. Knowledge of fulfillment/warehouse/ distribution/ first - mid - last mile operations
. Strong background in leading teams across multiple Cities/ Zones
. Extraordinary Change Management skills: Processes, Policies, Training & System
