Job Title : IT Service Desk Analyst I
Role :
Tier 1 technical support focusing round the clock monitoring, acknowledging, performing documented action and alerting / coordinating with Tier 2 team as warranted. The role requires the analyst to use analytical skills to ensure the services has minimal to no downtime by acting quickly on system-based alerts.

This role is 24/7 with rotational shifts

What You'll Be Doing :
  • A Tier 1 Service Desk Analyst typically will be on event management system, looks for any alerts and quickly acknowledges it to troubleshoot further or coordinates with Tier 2 teams on resolution.
  • Analyst spends most of the day performing monitoring activities to maintain system health and integrity.
This would be done via different tools:
Monitoring Tools like VictorOps, New Relic
Email Alerts

What We Are Looking For

  • Typically requires a 4 year degree and 12 years of experience or a 2 year degree and equivalent related experience
  • Candidate should have fundamental knowledge of Database, Windows, Linux / Unix server alerts monitoring or similar event management background.
  • Has no discretion to vary from established procedures
  • Works under close supervision
  • Hands-on experience on Event Management is added advantage and any monitoring tools like Nagios, VictorOps, New Relic
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing tools. (added advantage if worked on JIRA & ServiceNow)
  • Good communication skills particularly writing skills and good email etiquette
  • Good Analytical skills, ability to search and find solutions and think out of the box
  • Should be ready to work on a 24X7 environment with weekends & night shifts on rotational basis
  • Any prior application support will be an added advantage particularly supporting eCommerce portals and ERP system like Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Document the new processes and procedures as we learn
  • Should be open to new challenges and be ready to expand the roles & responsibilities.
