Job Description

Ecom Operations Analyst will be responsible to analyze, support and maintain eCommerce eco-system operation focusing on supporting web, middleware, and application layers, AWS based applications and their interactions. Provide application and operational support for cloud, WebSphere Commerce Server, WebSphere Application Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Unix and Database. Coordinate with IT groups, business and external vendors and make sure effective application services to ensure reliability of all applications. Ensure timely and competent research and resolution of site operations support issues. Implement technology solutions for site performance, viability and health. Resolve site issues, coordinate on ongoing releases and prepare release assets for production deployment execution. Identify and resolve issues and risks to site performance and reliability. Analyze and support the day-to-day site operations working with other functional support areas including, IT, Business, Marketing, and 3rd party service providers. Work with application and infrastructure teams to stay informed of changes that could affect site functionality and viability.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyze all business processes and ensure compliance to all controlled processes according to business requirement.
  • Monitor and provide support to workflows and provide expert knowledge on all workflow designs and implementation.
  • Analyze the day to day operations and processes and focus on Process Automation and Continuous Improvement
  • Works collaboratively with external and internal vendors and stakeholders to research and elicit, analyze, validate and document business requirements, and to ensure that those requirements clearly reflect true business needs, correctly representing all stakeholders
  • Works in partnership with all IT teams to find solutions, and/or escalates issues to appropriate IT groups and third party vendors for resolution
  • Act as a Production Support for the e-Commerce site with an emphasis on monitoring and ensuring site uptime and availability in production environment
  • Serve as critical support role for the Development Team, Business Team, and other vendor partners
  • Act as the technical lead on the performance, monitoring, and activity of all systems and databases related to daily operations of the e-Commerce environments
  • Participate in and provide SME representation for cross-functional team collaborations on projects and problem resolutions
  • Architect, research, and make recommendations for web-based technologies that would benefit the site and the company
  • Ensure secure operations with application, database, and operating system security hardening, penetration testing, and SOX/PCI compliance
  • Document process and procedures for internal use and provide extensive and detailed instructions on Production changes for the Managed Service Team to execute
  • Provide after-hours support as needed

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Retail domain experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience demonstrable skills and experience working with Linux, Relational Databases, SQL, MQ, and Scripting Languages, (e.g. Bash, Go, JavaScript, Python, Power Shell etc)
  • 5+ years of experience in analyzing and automating processes and strong experience in developing and supporting applications including scripting skills in shell scripting, perf, batch processing and other automation tools like UC4 and Rundeck.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server or other java middleware platform (JBoss, WebLogic, TomCat, or similar.
  • Closely monitor business requests and act on analyzing, resolving and documenting day to day issues and developing workaround processes.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with WebSphere Commerce or other comparable Commerce software (ATG/Hybris/Magento) preferred
  • Strong knowledge on eCommerce based Data Modal and writing complex queries.
  • Understanding cloud based platform and Suggest fixes to complex issues by doing a thorough analysis of root cause and impact of the defect.
  • Developing and supporting applications including scripting skills in Perl, Unix Shell Scripting and Windows batch scripting.
  • Experience in Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management.
  • Experience in Infrastructure Support, Configuration and Release Management.

Required Candidate profile
Skills and Behaviors:
  • Working knowledge in Software Defined Networking and Software Defined Storage
  • Working knowledge of Unix operating system, RHEL preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience with distributed software development tools
