About the team-
FIS is building a community of engineers to develop and then commoditize a catalog of enterprise-wide consumable products that can easily and repeatably be scaled and deployed across our global Merchant Cloud & Automation Services (MCAS) architecture. The products you Architect, Design and support development will help drive our organization towards our strategic principle Cloud First and our successes will be measured through the continued adoption of our MCAS products and services. Operating within a collaborative SAFe environment, we aim to deliver effective solutions focused on business value.
What you will be doing
Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in the core version of applications available for sale commercially.)

Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.

Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.

Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.

Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on systems application.

May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results.

May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.

Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
  • 12 plus years of experience in software development with a minimum of 3 plus years of architecture experience.
  • Experience in Java, RESTful Web Services, Spring framework, Microservices
  • Cloud Native application design experience is a plus
  • CICD Release Pipeline experience
  • Knowledge and expertise in Kafka stack, Kubernetes and Docker
  • Knowledge and expertise in AWS Cloud
  • Hands-on coding
  • Hands on Architecture and Design, specifically for NFRs
  • Expertise in design and architecture of common cross-cutting concerns in Microservices based architecture
  • Strong understanding of modern development techniques and processes such as Dev Ops /Cloud

  • Good to have exp in Angular, Ionic, or AWS technology.

  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, e.g., waterfall, iterative, and other modern approaches to software development
  • Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry, e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of banking practices, regulations, and operations within the assigned line(s) of business
  • In-depth understanding of design patterns and their application
  • Fluency in developing and understanding sequence diagrams, class models, etc. What we offer you

  • Demonstrated experience as application development system designer or technical lead on many u201Cvery largeu201D, i.e., 10,000 hours or more spanning more than 6 months projects
  • May also require one or more of the following experience requirements:
  • Five or more years working in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment (ZOS, UNIX, Windows)
  • Five or more years demonstrated experience in working with relational (and/or hierarchical) databases
  • Five or more years demonstrated experience in modern software application technologies
  • Successful design and implementation of applications in a shared service bureau environment
  • Experience in building On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP), batch and reporting systems
  • Experience in using Unified Modeling Language (UML) for Object Modeling
  • Experience in building robust and scalable infrastructure architectures (telephony systems, network services, web farms, multiple-node systems, etc.
