Role Summary
Directs, administers, and coordinates the activities of all plant information systems in accordance with policies, goals and objectives established by the General Manager. Develop and administer all Information Technology policy. Manage and assist all locations management in the development of systems that support the organizations policies, goals, financial performance, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Job Requirements:
  • Organize and setup in-house computer systems and networks to support the on-going computing needs of the operation.
  • Develop policies and procedures to control information security, and department operation.
  • Establish needs and set goals for the department.
  • Manage the Information Technology services function for the company, including business system change, system enhancement control, technical support, and access security.
  • Manage service provision through response time, and system availability monitoring.
  • Assist the controller with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Provide, in conjunction with any other IT staff members, support for desktop computers, servers and network infrastructure within the division
  • Develop standards for hardware, software, and program selection, documentation and training. Ensure integrity of fixed assets, licensing and software / hardware maintenance contracts.
  • Provide insight from the technology perspective to accomplish continuous improvement in cost control, quality and productivity areas of every department.
  • Manage all Hardware, Software and telecommunications infrastructure necessary for the facility.
  • Ensure all company software has a documented valid license.
  • Approve all Information Technology related projects and purchases including shop floor network integration.
  • Interact with all leadership to establish plant technology priorities.
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Business Administration with a major in Management Information Systems or Technical Degree with experience supporting a broad range of departmental technology needs.
  • Strong background in operation systems, networking technologies, office information systems, relational database architectures, internet, and intranet development.
  • ERP / MRP experience required, SAP skill set strongly preferred
  • Experience with Automotive manufacturing methods and systems.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and must be able to lead by example.
  • Must be self motivated and display the skills required to develop and motivate employees.
  • Must work well under pressure.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in negotiating licensing contracts, and Service Level Agreements.
  • Experience in establishing and administering Information Technology Policy.
  • Experience in implementing complete business systems.
  • Must live within 20 minutes of the facility
  • Work in the office is required, remote work is not optional
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in budget creation, compliance, reporting and reconciliation.
  • Must be a team player
