What you will be doing
This position involves managing software delivery life cycle. Packages code (OmniScript/COBOL) releases for test and production environments. Performs code comparisons to validate and resolve impediments. Reconciles code version conflicts. Responsible for the release management lifecycle, focusing on coordinating various aspects of production and projects into one integrated solution.
What you bring:
Knowledge / Experience

  • Managing risks that may affect release scope, identifying code version conflicts
  • Communicate all key release contents, commitments, and changes
  • Define, align and manage change to release packages
  • Measure, monitor and report release progress from Development, QA and Production
  • Provide daily release package migration requests to Change Control Board for impact assessment and migration approval
  • Manage relationships and coordinate projects between different teams
  • Develop and maintain an protocol for managing critical production breakfixes (Typically emergency fixes / breakfixes follow a modified SDLC.)

Skills
Soft Skills:
  • Ability to coordinate multiple teams to ensure tasks are completed in time with the release schedule
  • Capacity to analyze and reconcile code differences between environments

  • Version Control (SVN, GitHub, etc.)

Tech Skills:
  • JAVA \u2013 Mandatory
  • Unix Shell Script - Mandatory
  • Intermediate OmniScript
  • Basic COBOL
  • Windows Batch Scripting
  • Jira process management (nice to have)
  • SQL (nice to have)

Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent
  • ITIL v3 Foundation or higher desirable
