Position Description
The Human Resources Generalist will directly assist the Campus HR Manager at the Eden Prairie, MN Hydraulics Headquarters in the development, implementation and administration of HR policies and programs to support the business objectives of the headquarters location. This role provides leadership in the effective administration of recruitment & selection, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and other HR processes. This role is also responsible for assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures as well as driving continuous improvement efforts within the function.
Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as a critical point of contact for the workforce on the Eden Prairie campus.
  • Responsible for payroll processing for salary employees at the Hydraulics Headquarters location.
  • Responsible for Company Vehicle Program which includes tracking company vehicles, requesting new hire/transfer employees vehicles as needed and turning in vehicles for terminated employees.
  • Submit timely reports to Finance for salary payroll for employees at the Hydraulics Headquarters location. Track monthly headcount and enter into various systems as required.
  • Maintain positive employee relations to create a work environment that fosters committed and engaged employees through communication, performance management, and other key initiatives.
  • Assist with the employee survey process to ensure smooth implementation. Supports the action planning phase post-survey through effective feedback sessions.
  • Ensure integrity of all HR systems with timely and accurate data entry, and auditing information to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, laws and goals set by the organization.
  • Support talent acquisition and management activities. Conduct new hire orientation as needed.
  • Implement and administer policies and procedures consistent with Corporate guidelines to ensure consistent and fair administration.
  • Maintain all confidential documents, records, and employee files.
  • Support HR integration activities as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the site and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year of experience working in Human Resources

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ year of experience working in Human Resources

Position Criteria
  • Specialized knowledge of the interpretation of laws, regulations and standards, and enforcement agencies for equal employment opportunities, safety, wage and hour, unemployment, workers’ compensation and labor law
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, & Word)
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization including both managers and employees.
  • Ability to solve individual employee concerns or questions with regards to benefits or employee relations.
  • Diplomatic handling of telephone calls and unscheduled visitors.
  • Establishing priorities for scheduling meetings and processing work assignments.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
