The Director/ Senior Director P&C Business Partner serves as People & Culture (P&C) strategic Business Partner across the regional value chain out of our manufacturing site in Chennai, India with responsibility for strengthening the Vestas people and culture profile. The candidate will be the anchor for guiding business-focused people solutions that improve effective results through the alignment of P&C initiatives to strategic business goals. Responsible for raising the level of organizational performance through thought leadership in the business.
Responsibilities
  • Be a value adding member of the Management Teams both in the regional People & Culture ASP and local Indian management team, and to encourage throughout the value chain with a deep expertise within people and organization, with knowledge to enable establishing ever-growing organizations
  • Enable bring business, change management, consulting and learning know-how into a trusted partnership with line managers, to create value and assist them reach their business goals
  • To support transform winning strategies into tangible action and embed policies into real life
  • To support focus on execution and fulfilment of business strategy by aligning and deploying P&C processes, policies, systems, and programs to enable accomplishment of the vision and mission
  • To support by being a change agent that diagnose systemic organizational problems, contribute to set an agenda for the future, and create plans for how to make change happen and stick
  • To coach leaders on their people and business leadership to assist them develop their leadership capabilities and act as a role model in doing so offer the leaders feedback on progress
  • To involve in the distribution of learning and sharing of knowledge across our organization by generating and generalizing ideas with impact
  • To guide the sub-region of P&C and develop a innovative team, currently the team consist of business partners from Ahmadabad, Mumbai to Chennai.

Qualifications
  • A relevant HR or business education at BA level is required. Master level will be preferred.
  • 15+ years of related HR Management, Business Partnering and management experience or equivalent
  • A proven proven history ideally gained from a global manufacturing business delivering multifaceted solutions e.g. automotive and covering multiple locations. Solid experience with manufacturing and modulization will be preferred.
  • Good language skills in English, orally as well in writing
  • Must have ability to understand and develop effective HR strategies while understanding the implications from a culture, business achievement, company practice and legal standpoint
  • Solid business insight, with experience presenting to and influencing business leaders, an inquisitive approach to problem solving, experience designing and project coordinating exciting people programs.
  • Proven knowledge in coordinating and bringing knowledge organizations and at the same develop leaders

  • Good oral and written communication skills including confidentiality, interpersonal skills, presentation skills and an ability to use a variety of communication tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, especially senior managers, and other key decisions makers
  • Possesses strategic thinking and planning/facilitation ability, and flexibility to function in a ever-growing and innovative environment. The ability to diagnose problems and identify & implement appropriate long-term solutions
  • The ability to provide leadership, work collaboratively on teams, and consult effectively and with limited to no supervision with all levels of the organization
  • Proven experience with promoting cultural change management projects
  • Good ability to multi-task, take initiative, negotiate, and influence thinking
  • Engaged flexibility working in a innovative and changing organization
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain professional working relationship with all internal contacts/coworkers
  • Innovative organizational skills, ability to prioritize many tasks and complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Should be a highly motivated self-starter and be able to work with limited supervision with stakeholders
  • Proven skill in the operation and utilization software such as MS Office products i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Good project management skills
  • Good understanding of working in a matrix structure and being good at thought leadership and stakeholder management
  • It will be a benefit for the ideal candidate that he/she has been a people leader in the past
  • Ability to work in a cross functional system, understanding of matrix structures and responsibilities.
  • Having an exposure to factories is desired.
