Eaton’sLas Piedras, PR is currently seeking for a HR Business Partner to join our team. This position is based at our Haina facility
This is a key support position responsible for ensuring the organization’s goals and objectives are being achieved through the utilization of core Human Resources practices and principles. The HR Business Partner is also responsible for driving the Eaton Philosophy to create a work environment that fosters committed and engaged employees in support of a high performance culture, through effective talent acquisition and retention initiatives, onboarding, OJT training and talent development, effective communication, employee relations, and other key people initiatives in order to contribute with the employee satisfaction, as well as the establishment of a positive labor environment that reinforces the Eaton Philosophy.
  1. Manage the assigned client groups Talent Acquisition functions for exempt and non-exempt job levels.
  2. Lead Internship Program, COOP and other Community Programs (for hourly and exempt roles) for the Site to engage future generations on Eaton Careers.
  3. Support Campus recruitment efforts with local educational institutions and other community outreach efforts.
  4. Lead recruitment and selection process and train hiring managers to ensure compliance with the internal process, policy and all the legal requirements.
  5. Track HR metrics associated with areas of responsibility, identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans to fill gaps. Report weekly progress to HR Manager.
  6. Support communication plan activities deployment at the facility such as: Roundtables, Plant Wide Meetings, Communication channels (suggestion boxes, boards, bulletins, etc.).
  7. Support implementation of recognition programs at the facility, such as: e-Star, Years of Services, Employee of the Year/Month, Perfect Attendance, among others.
  8. Support, promote and maintain a positive work environment, facilitating to resolve issues/concerns between employees and/or Employee – Supervisor, accordingly to Eaton Policies and PR labor laws at all shifts.
  9. Track and maintain training data for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting.
  10. Serve as liaison between departments concerning training needs.
  11. Provide training on Talent Management systems to all employees.
  12. Lead Onboarding and OJT training process and activities assuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  13. Track Buddy Program effectiveness, support recruitment of trainers and provide training on OJT process and training skills.
  14. Support HR programs to drive employee engagement and satisfaction.
  15. Execute the tasks according to the Policies and Procedures of Safety and Environment of the plant; Preventing environmental contamination, observing that the safety rules are complied with by you and others, taking care of and correctly using the safety equipment in the required areas and contributing with your ideas to improve the health and safety of everyone in the plant.
  16. Exercise its function according to the training received.
  17. Use and care of personal protective equipment.
  18. Act and ensure your safety and that of your colleagues.
  19. Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor and / or Security Officer.
  20. Be aware of the prevention of accidents in your work area.
  21. Know and implement the Safety Policy of the plant.
  22. Perform jobs task in accordance with the Quality framework.
  23. Recognize they have the obligation to stop jobs or shut down equipment if the Quality of product is affected by any process.
  24. Understand the general Quality Management Systems guidelines and procedures at the facility.
  25. Participates on problem solving and continuous improvement activities as requested.

(MESH Responsibilities):
  1. To attend all the trainings of MESH those are assigned.
  2. Promoting and enacting the security and policies of MESH to employees under their supervision and ensure that they are conducted in their area / line manufacturing allocated.
  3. Training all employees under his supervision in the JSA for their roles.

#LI-AP01 Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree; Bachelor’s Degree in business administration with a major in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or master’s degree in human resources preferred.
  • Minimum experience of 3 years in Human Resources.
  • At least 2 years of Training experience in Manufacturing Industry preferred.
  • Fully Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Structure Interview or Targeted Selection knowledge preferred.
  • PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, HR Learning Management System.
  • Knowledge of PR Labor Law and Federal Labor Law.
