Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
. Defines and develops overall analytics solutions and data services vision. Identify opportunities for unlocking value from data assets to improve performance through evidence-based decision making. Solicits and anticipates future needs, ensures Pharmacovigilance & Medical Safety database outputs evolve to meet current and future business and regulatory needs.
. Promote a data-driven culture, by providing data-driven insightful solutions to complex business and performance problems, and develop inspiring actions that shape and inform key business decisions. Manage vendors providing data services to ensure high quality, optimize value and cost of their activities
. Collaborate with partners in IT and GDD functions to improve the availability of data (near-real time data flows) and data quality as required for high quality, innovative, analytics solutions.
Lead creation of 'Science of Data' capability to maximize insight generation from existing data sources including over 1 million patient records within Argus Safety Database, other PV, GDD, NVS databases and available external BIG Data sources
. Bring in efficiency with innovative solutions effective usage of new technologies and concepts developing new analysis opportunities by integrating existing and new data sources. Direct an expert team to implement an advanced system for management of data retrievals and self-service tabulations, listings and statistical analysis
. Lead automation of aggregate analysis and reports including PSUR, DSUR, PQR, APR and audit/inspection related outputs. Manage timely delivery of high quality PV& Medical safety listing, analysis and data and ensure compliance with health authority regulations
. Lead the design and oversees the development of predictive and data-driven solutions and services to ensure drug, device, trial and patient level benefit/risk information is available proactively for safety analysis, signal detection and risk management.
. Key contributor to the business team managing pharmacovigilance & Medical Safety inspections & addressing all questions related to Data Science. Builds a strong Center of Excellence collaborating with CMO&PS sub functions, GDD functions (especially clinical, DRA, Statistics), NBS/IT, QA, and external providers. Builds and maintains positive working relationships to address current needs and anticipate future requirements.
. Manage global team Build a deep talent bench by driving top-level talent acquisition, succession planning and development of associates across who are working to their full potential and to build a strong talent pipeline for Novartis.

Minimum requirements
. 15+ years of relevant industry experience. 10+ years of multi / cross functional international leadership experience
. Proven people leadership and operational capabilities. Very strong technical, quantitative and problem-solving skills. Excellent understanding of pharmacovigilance, clinical development, quality and regulatory standards and policies relevant to CMO&PS functions and impacts on the organization
. Well-established track record and sought after across the industry for drug development/analytics functions expertise and organizational leadership. Proven ability to effectively lead or sponsor major non-clinical initiatives. Provide thought-leading insights to the competitive environment and internal partner interfaces
. Outstanding people skills to facilitate/optimize contribution of team members as individuals and members of cohesive team.
. Proven track record in working across a matrix organization and demonstrates expert skills in building partnerships, negotiating agreements excels at collaboration with diverse internal and external organizations.
. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to naturally bridge scientific and business participants Track record in enabling effective international collaboration.
. Proven ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively in a constantly changing environment and motivate the team to do the same. Outstanding verbal and written communications.
