Position Overview

DFS Asia Ops Change Lead & Product Specialist
Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Investigations mandate is to conduct internal investigations of matters related to misconduct affecting Deutsche Bank (DB or the Bank) globally.
Joining AFC Investigations offers candidates a unique opportunity to work on high priority topics whilst developing a comprehensive understanding of DB's Global and Asia Pacific Regional platform. This is a high visibility role.
We are looking to hire an experienced investigator based in India to assist with both the Global and Asia Pacific Regional portfolio, in particular the India portfolio. Due to the criticality of the investigation portfolio as well as the high visibility vis--vis senior management, candidates should exhibit the highest standards of professionalism and integrity paired with proven relevant experience, leading high-impact investigations.

Key responsibilities/Role Summary
As DFS Asia Ops Change Lead, you would be required to:
  • Work directly with Global Head of Operations for DFS, helping him/her manage all the regional and global initiatives, along with acting as a single point of contact for all internal & external stakeholders.
  • Front lead all our interactions with Business Colleagues and Clients, advising them on our system functionalities and automation solutions to support the new market / client requirements.
  • Provide oversight on the overall control framework across our locations and suggest and implement best practices to keep our department in best of shapes.
  • Lead, manage and deliver Book of Work for our department across APAC, including prioritization of items based on their nature of criticality.
  • Proactively engage with all branch leads and support their change requirements through active coordination with regional Tech team.
  • Explore and execute new technologies such as Robotics, AI, ML, etc. as well as work with branch coordinates to continuously streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Work as a single point of contact with in-house Tech team as well as our system vendor to design new solutions as well as to plan and implement new modules, system upgrades, control points, etc in SIMCORP and other applications.
  • Design and execute presentation of relevant MIS data points such as department KRIs, KPIs, projects charters, etc.
  • Keep a 360o view on all the Projects going-on across Branches - be it Client migrations, Internal efficiency initiatives or other regional/global initiatives impacting our department.
  • Drive issue resolution at all level & be first point of contact for any IT/Production issue with a view to resolve the same with minimal impact.
  • Support new/additional business initiatives by helping respond RFP & Due Diligence questionnaires by existing as well as new clients.

Key skills & experience:
  • Post-graduate degree, preferably Chartered Accountant.
  • 15+ years of experience within Funds Industry, with hands-on experience in Fund Accounting/Administration Operations a must.
  • End-to-end Product knowledge of Mutual Funds, Insurance Unit Linked Funds, PMS/Discretionary Clients, AIFs, Pension Funds, etc.
  • Knowledge/experience of Fund Accounting lifecycle across APAC markets such as India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Accounting & Valuation treatments for different asset classes & derivatives, including various methods of Cost Amortization, P&L Accounting, Bonds Valuation, etc.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Standards and Rules & Regulations applicable for Asset Managers & Owners in Asian markets
  • Hands-on experience of SimCorp Dimension Accounting & Valuation modules would be added advantage. Working knowledge of new workflow automation technologies preferred.
  • Experience in handling large projects such as Platform Migrations, Client Migrations, F2B automation projects, Target Operating Models, etc.
  • Strong Organizational, analytical and problem solving skills along with ability to work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
