Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Finance Manager - Data Quality, within the Finance Data Management and Governance (FDMG) group. In this new role, the individual will have responsibility for financial data integrity across the enterprise. This will include working closely with business owners to understand evolving financial data requirements, identifying areas where technology or processes can be used to improve data quality, and adapting the data integrity approach as required. The individual should be able to demonstrate strong collaboration skills as they will work closely with the Run Support, Service Management, Data Governance teams, as well as with other Finance and IT partners across the organization to drive timely issue resolution and ongoing data quality improvement projects to prevent recurrence of identified data defects. Potential candidates should demonstrate a strong knowledge of financial processes (finance planning, accounting and reporting) and an understanding of the interdependencies of good quality data to support Finance. They should have experience in identifying and resolving critical data defects to support financial activities and would benefit from having a technical background, with a solid understanding of SAP environments, and experience in understanding financial data lineage across systems. It is essential that this individual approaches the role with an Enterprise and agile mentality. Key Responsibilities: Identifies and prioritizes proactive data quality actions and remediation to drive improvements in data quality towards resolution Supports analysis to resolve root cause, impact, and severity of data quality issues Confirms actions taken have resolved the issue, mitigated the risk, or provided an acceptable contingency Supervises data quality SLA's with Data Owners and Data Stewards Coordinates data profiling efforts and helps define data quality business rules for each prioritized data object and elements Defines critical data quality metrics (e.g., accuracy, completeness, validity, latency) to monitor and manage the quality of financial data Coordinates the designs of the data quality scorecards and reports and works with the technology teams for development of data quality monitoring solutions Communicates Data quality results and trends to Finance and IT partners and the Data Governance Council Delivers data quality training to targeted business partners Qualifications Education: Preferred qualifications or certifications include A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Finance or Accounting Advanced degrees such as a CPA, CMA or MBA/Master's and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred Experience and Skills: A minimum of 4 years of finance, accounting or related business experience is required Knowledge of financial accounting, planning and reporting processes is required SAP experience relevant to the Finance function is required Experience working on data integrity issues is required, including identifying and resolving critical data defects in a timely matter to support key financial activities Innovative and continuous improvement mentality with the ability to translate a sophisticated business operations landscape into a streamlined process design is required Foundational Project management skills along with Organizational change skills and ability to work in ambiguous situations, including the ability to drive others to adapt to a changing environment is required Advanced skills in MS Office is required Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, influencing skills and ability to develop strong relationships with key business partners at all levels of the organization is required Proactively identifying and mitigating process risks within a multi-functional, global organization is required Experience working with SAP Central Finance, Data-warehouses, solution integration and RPA/ AI technology is highly preferred Experience in DQ tools like Informatica Data Quality, SAP Information Steward is highly preferred Experience in any reporting tools like Tableau, SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office is preferred Experience working within Service Now or similar demand intake tools is preferred Exposure to SQL language is preferred Experience working within a manufacturing business is preferred Experience working within healthcare/life sciences business is preferred The role may require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel.
