Job Roles & Responsibilities
Position: Engineering Manager (for RPA Platform built on .NET using C#)
Key Responsibilities:
Manage engineering team that is responsible for all phases of the system development and implementation process including analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support for the RPA platform
Own technical change management, source code and technical documentation
Document and test using proven industry standard code analyzing tools, implementing and providing ongoing support for the applications
Master existing systems/application/product architecture and identify opportunities for short and long term improvement.
Provide architecture guidance with focus on performance, scaling and security to produce scalable, flexible, robust and efficient applications
Lead the technical design solution, conversation, chooses the right frameworks for the business solution, and apply design patterns consistently
Liaison with product management and architecture teams to contribute to product roadmap and architecture. Also discuss master schedules and operational milestones.
Create and manage software requirements document and release plans and proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Run agile practices for the team, including Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, Sprint Retrospective, and Backlog Grooming.
Technical/Domain Skills
7+ years of overall experience, with hands-on experience in software engineering and developing SaaS products (RPA exposure is preferable).
Hands-on experience of developing enterprise applications using C#.Net, ASP.Net, MVC
Exposure to distributed computing, micro services architecture
Good experience in SQL Server queries, procedures and performance tuning
Good experience in any ORM, preferably on entity framework
Command of latest web UI technologies (JQuery, responsive frameworks, etc.)
Familiarity with multi-tier environment
Versed in Agile methodology. Experience in high-volume web application environment
Excellent grasp of data structures and interaction between applications and data
Knowledge of design patterns and practical implementation knowledge.
2+ years of leading engineering teams
Management Skills
Understanding and experience of working with Product Management, Design, Architecture, and Support functions
Ability to mentor and guide team members
Drive for results within deadlines and escalate issues at an early stage
Demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and tenacity to get the job done.
Substantive experience building innovative, complex, load-balanced enterprise applications with strong technical, functional and leadership credentials
