Describe the Department
Software Application & Electronics is responsible for delivering optimized and reliable control solutions for our Wind Turbines including the functional safety. This includes the real-time communication backbone that ties all the distributed control nodes together, the real time operating system of the control nodes and the high-level functionality that control all operation in the turbine. SAE is responsible for maintaining the man machine & plant interface, service functionality, sensing (wind, azimuth, yawing, tower acceleration), AUX power supply & backup. We are a team of around 200+ engineers spread between Denmark, Portugal & India working in a highly innovative technology-centric and process motivated environment
  • You must always have a good overview of all tasks going on in the department and be prepared to communicate time schedules and resource constraints, and to negotiate priorities
  • Create or Update of technical purchase specifications for LV Panels and LV cables
  • Create and maintain Electrical documentations like panel layout, electrical diagrams etc.,
  • Create design verification plans, procedures and reports
  • Create or Update Service and Installation procedures
  • Participate in supplier type / routine test on LV panels and LV cables
  • Responsible for the work documented according to Vestas way to market process in control and auxiliary power area
  • Exposure to EMC / EMI needs to the product
  • Exposure to International standards such as IEC, UL, CCC etc., Good to have IEC 60204-1 Machine directive
  • Hands on experience on PTC windchill PDM link, change management system & Electrical drafting tools like Eplan, SEE electrical

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering or Bachelor of Electrical engineering or Electrical and Electronics engineering
  • For instance in designing and building of LV electrical systems
  • Experience from Wind turbine industry / Energy sector / Low voltage component manufacturer
  • Understanding of product development process with knowledge of all design phases from concept to validation and improvement
  • Experience with Jira and agile methodologies and project management
  • Cross cultural understanding and committed to diversity and gender balance
