Le Segment eMobility d’Eaton recherche un(e):
Embedded Hardware Engineer (H/F)
Localisation : Montrottier- 45 minutes de Lyon, France
You will join our eMobility Division, which is currently experiencing massive growth thanks to various recent major wins. eMobility designs and manufactures innovative energy converters primarily used in the automotive industry for new electrical vehicles. You will be responsible for the development of our new generation of embedded software which control these converters systems. From software requirements to software testing you will have to manage all the software V-cycle activities, developed using Agile methodology. You will take part of global development programs shared between the different R&D centers of our eMobility Division all around the world.
You could be based at our Montrottier plant (less than an hour away from Lyon). Some remote work may be envisaged.
Your main duties
- Design of analogue and digital circuits for low-power microelectronic systems and high-power vehicle systems.
- Take responsibility for the design and overall quality of the hardware
- Documentation of design specifications and implementation details
- Realisation of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions
- Uphold hardware design standards and methodologies.
- Collaboration with other team members (including both hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc.
Qualifications
Profile
- Bachelor or Master inElectronics engineering or SW focus on embedded system or comparable degree
- 5/10 years in automotive or similar industries
- Excellent knowledge of embedded circuit develeopment and test
- Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design.
- Hands on experience with the soldering iron for the creation of test circuits
- Knowledge of high speed communication networks (CAN, SPI etc.)
- Programming experience (C, code generation)
- Experience with modern microprocessors (ARM, multicore etc.) & FPGAs
- solid working experince of appliciation of functional safety
- Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Able to support/debug system integration
- Able to work individually and in a multidisciplinary team
