About the role
Leading business function for Fashion BU. The role includes:
- working closely with the business team in charting out business strategy and translate the
same into annual operating plan.
- Jointly owning the business plan and PnL with the business team and delivering on the
same.
- Managing a young and dynamic team of finance professionals and mentoring them.
What you'll do:
1. Develop a clear understanding of key business drivers, analyse key financial metrics,
provide value add analysis, support to sales / finance management.
2. Partner closely with the business team and jointly own and deliver business PnL. Identify
and track appropriate performance measures, key performance indicators and associated
drivers.
3. Influence and drive business decisions / action with appropriate analysis and comments.
4. Proactive in reviewing financial information, identifying exceptions / inconsistencies, initiating
action and follow-up for logical closure.
5. Participate in revenue forecast calls and highlight risk /opportunities with appropriate
analysis.
6. Ownership of expenses forecast for the business group by using trend analysis / KPI
reviews for better P&L management.
7. Lead revenue, commercial arrangements, deal tracking, collaborate with upstream and
downstream process teams for resolutions.
8. Participate in monthly calls with the controller's organization for P&L Review.
9. Prepare financial information analysis for business reviews / presentations with key
highlights.
10. Handle complex ad hoc request with a short turnaround time and supplement such request
with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making.
11. Support finance / business leader in simulation of revenue projections and corresponding
expenses working including working out margin protection / improvement plans.
12. Develop Budget modeling by establishing KPIs / Run rates.
13. Participate in budget discussion and support scenario building / simulation modeling.
14. Tracking of business performance against set targets and providing periodic updates to
business and finance management.
15. Lead / Participate / Drive standardization automation projects for process efficiency.
What you'll need:
- Chartered Accountant / MBA - Finance
- 12-14 years of experience in Fashion or FMCG industry
- High level of professionalism, integrity and commitment
- Maturity and the ability to manage and influence key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time and prioritise effectively
- Experience in business partnering with senior executives demonstrating the ability and
desire to provide pro-active, pragmatic advice in furtherance of the business agenda
- Ability to analyse complex data, draw connections and advocate a coherent strategy for
improvement
- Strong knowledge of controls and accounts
- Ability to communicate with and explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-driven with the capacity to work in a dynamic work
environment
- Ability to be a team player, trouble-shooter and a consensus-builder
- Exposure to complex business environments
- Familiarity with technology and tools
- Excellent analytical, written & verbal communication skills
- Leading and Developing Teams / Talent
