Job Description



JOB PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY):
  • The Data Steward sits within the Distribution Data Domain Office as a part of Invesco's Insights, Analytics, and Marketing organization working across Invesco's retail and institutional businesses in their respective region.
  • The Data Steward develops a deep understanding of our client data quality and client master data management needs to provide high fidelity data and enable capabilities across analytics, sales, marketing and other enterprise functions.
  • The Data Steward will help deliver on our roadmap for client, transactional, positional and interaction data, focused on their region and within a global distribution data framework, architecture, and taxonomy. They will partner with a technology scrum team (Engineering), Enterprise Data Office (EDO), and Business to ensure data is structured and curated to leverage across the enterprise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
  • Work closely with data consumers, identify, interpret and partner in implementing data quality requirements to meet expectations
  • Gather and review data definitions related to client, transactions and interactions data.
  • Formulate data quality rules, policies and review with the Sr.Data Product Owner
  • Build and review requirements for the customer MDM, CDP and CBOR platform including the platform's UI/UX.
  • Contributes to data governance and data quality execution through planning activities, creating and monitoring data quality metrics, managing data quality issues from identification through to resolution, implementing new / changes to existing data quality requirements and reporting, and identifying process inefficiencies and opportunities to leverage existing data, processes and solutions.
  • Support the resolution of production issues, addressing both urgent tactical solutions and long-term strategic solutions through technology enhancements, vendor modifications, or process changes.
  • Chair Domain Data Governance Execution Groups within respective region
  • Ensure compliance with data policies, SLA's, and rules for internal and external data sharing.
  • Collaborate with other data/application stewards to ensure Business/Data needs are addressed
  • Support data practitioners on business rules and data standards and conduct training on data policies/rules
  • Formulation and maintenance of business data glossary in support of data governance activities and data democratization.
  • Partner with Sr. Data Product Owner to support implementations of data and reporting solutions

WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:
  • Minimum of 2 years of business intelligence, master data management, data governance and quality
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with MDM/Data Governance/Analytics Tools (e.g., SAP MDG, Aera analytics and data quality management, Collibra Data Governance, Informatica MDM and Tibco Spotfire)
  • 2+ years of SQL, Alteryx, R, Python or other data analysis tool or language
  • Background in asset management distribution across all client segments is a plus
  • History of working on large, complex projects preferably within an Agile framework

FORMAL EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field with 3+ years of experience
  • Advanced degrees (MS/MBA) preferred

LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • Technical major or technical certification preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Hours may include evenings and/or weekends.
