Citigroup's Retail Risk Data Strategy & Oversight (RDSO) focuses on the strategic transformation of business and risk technology platforms and business process re-engineering to improve data quality, strengthen controls and provide direction for an infrastructure that supports strong risk management. The team is also responsible for oversight of data and infrastructure Risk related to Retail Risk and Regulatory processes, and independent assessment of risk related to adoption of new technologies to manage Retail data, analytics and reporting.
RDSO is currently seeking an Officer level candidate with a background in data analytics and business intelligence (BI) to design, develop and manage BI solutions and present data through reports and visualizations that help make better business decisions.
The successful candidate will work in close partnership with Global Risk Data leads, Global Risk Process owners, Risk & Finance Architecture and Consumer & Enterprise O&T to assess current state and identify opportunities for improvement in data and analytics, risk business processes and risk reporting related to delinquency managed and Retail Y9C exposures in 17+ countries.
Job Requirements:
  • Develop business user requests into detailed use case requirements for BI and analytics
  • Mine and extract complex, large volumes of data from one or more sources to organize into comprehensive datasets and cubes
  • Design and develop complex custom reports, portals and dashboards for key risk indicators to help business understand trends, patterns and performance
  • Validate report results against requirements for consistency and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and analyze data issues within reports, portals and dashboards
  • Manage and maintain high data quality by building strong controls and processes
  • Communicate data anomalies to Technology for resolution in a timely manner
  • Communicate results to business stakeholders and support business decisions
  • Manage deliverable executions via clearly defined milestones and timelines
  • Manage multiple deliverables and ad-hoc projects related to data and risk processes

Knowledge / Experience:
  • Candidate should have 6+ years of credit risk analysis, consumer risk policy development or consumer risk reporting experience
  • Understanding of big data platforms - Hadoop, Hive, HDFS required
  • Experience in business intelligence tools (Python, Tableau) is required
  • SAS, SQL and advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Knowledge of Citi's Consumer Risk data, products and technology infrastructure a plus
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree required
  • Knowledge of the risk management function, retail banking products, and a proven track record of project management success
