is positioned as an essential partner to large and mid-market enterprises seeking to maximise their potential internationally, offering streamlined business access to HSBC's international network and broad range of market leading banking products and services.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the ISB team in Corporate Banking.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Grow sustainable revenues from the existing customer portfolio
  • Proactively grow international and cross border revenue
  • Work collaboratively with other Global Businesses, Product and Service Partners to identify opportunities to connect customers to opportunities and strengthen the relationship
  • Develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment
  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of customer information, including Know your Customer (KYC) requirements, in Group systems
  • Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements
  • Establish an effective working relationship with Risk in order to validate the accuracy of the customer risk profile, and ensure sustainable asset growth
  • Maintain a proactive calling programme to service clients, ensuring senior management and key stakeholders for large corporate clients are contacted regularly
  • Deliver a high quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions with (prospective) customer or other professionals, and always acting according to the highest professional standards
  • Help customers draw on the HSBC group network by working closely with other Commercial Banking (CMB) countries and Product and Service partners
  • Ensure early identification of problem relationships and take appropriate action
  • Be an ambassador for HSBC and develop the bank's profile in the local ‘International Business community
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, accounting or related fields
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Banking experience, client facing roles preferred.
  • Robust knowledge and experience on Cash Management products, Trade&FX, Lending&Risk assessment
  • Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic and regulatory issues
  • Ability to interact with business customers at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills
  • Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstration of required AML and Sanctions knowledge through attendance at the one day instructor-led training course and successful completion of the related post-course assessment

Desirable
  • Knowledge of how ISB clients operate
  • Knowledge of Trade, PCM, and FX products and capabilities
  • Knowledge of group systems, including HUB, CARM, ClientVision
  • Knowledge of CMB policies and procedures as per CMB FIM
