About us
Letterdrop is a content marketing platform + agency backed by Y Combinator and led by an ex-Google Product Manager. We’re looking for an editor to join the agency part of our team to help us create compelling B2B content for our customers that drives business results. In order to do that, we need to deeply understand our customer’s industry (sales, marketing, accounting, developer tools, HR, healthcare), their business, their ideal customer, and their value prop. In this role, you’ll be the brains behind what our writers say. You’ll work with a team of 5 writers and an editor.
What will you do
• Draft outlines of articles, reports, and case studies - this includes sections, bullet points, statistics, facts, and thesis.
• Research a company, their industry, understand their customer needs, take any information provided by our customers and put together a content outline that is concise, educational, and has logical flow with data to strengthen arguments.
• Work with customers to get outlines approved and hand off to writers to expand on your outline.
• Use the Letterdrop software platform to spend your time effectively. We want you to focus on research. Our tool will automate data aggregation and workflows so that you can spend more time thinking.
• We cover a wide variety of B2B industries including marketing, sales, customer support, accounting, etc. You need to be willing and able to learn about them. You can collaborate with customers and learn from them to make sure you’re creating the right arguments.
• We are currently producing around 11 articles per week and want to scale up our operations. You’ll be researching and outlining these.

What skills do you need
• MBA or Bachelors Degree in Economics or Business. Not a strict requirement. You have to be very comfortable with business terminology and learning about them.
• Must be process-oriented. This is incredibly important and can’t be understated. You’re the type of person who likes to be neat and organized. Tardiness drives you crazy.
• You’re ok working in a startup environment - we’re figuring things out, trying to build something new from scratch. There will be lots of experimentation.
• A passion for researching and learning. You’re academic in nature. You like researching and analyzing industries and companies. You can come up with logical and coherent breakdowns of what you’ve learned.
Logistics
• Full-time.
• The role is remote. You can work from home.
• Hours are flexible if you prefer to work earlier or later in the day.
