Technical Discipline Lead - APJC VMware Virtualization Enablement
Opportunity for working remotely
The APJC enablement organization for Professional Managed and Field Services is responsible for readiness for technologies that are key to the success and relate to the top critical technical initiatives that need to be deployed and managed by a large services organization. We are directly responsible for creating and delivering the artifacts that the delivery organization requires to be successful in the execution of a professional service.
The Technical Discipline Lead for Virtualization is a deep technical skilled Subject Matter Expert in VMware. The role requires the candidate to develop and deliver enablement of technical virtualization that are building blocks for strategic programs, such as APEX, product introductions that integrate with VMware, greenfield VMware implementations and the skills progression of the broad Professional Managed and Field services community.
Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for VMware virtualization technical skills readiness in a the APJC theater for the professional, managed, and field services technical roles.

  • Analyze and provide technical recommendations to highly complex VMware integrations.

  • Work with multiple and diverse functional teams in a global enablement organization. Some of the functionals teams represent presales, delivery, product engineering, services offer development, among others.

  • Lead a Virtualization technical community and

  • Develop and maintain has a deep understanding of Data Center architectures, including other virtualization solutions such as Microsoft Hyper-V, red Hat OpenShift, experience in planning, design & implementation of Data Center virtualized infrastructure
    Essential Requirements

  • The role typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field plus 5-8 years of related experience with VMware products and their integrations. Experience with design, implementation, and/or VMware products operation is a must.

  • The Technical Discipline Lead is passionate about exploring new technologies and bringing up ideas that can become solutions to complex integrations with VMware products.

  • The roles require strong communication skills and the ability to articulate Virtualization Solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • The role requires strong knowledge of VMware ESXi, VSAN, vRealize Suite, Tanzu, NSX-T. A VMware Professional certification in at least one product line is required.

  • It is required the knowledge of vSphere configuration, management, and troubleshooting.

Desirable Requirements

  • VMware Advanced Professional certification in at least one product line.

  • Delivery or Consulting Experience with VMware integrations with Dell Products.

  • Presentations and storytelling techniques

  • attention to detail, problem-solving, and organization
