The team
Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client's end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
Scope of work
  • Lead/support implementation of core cloud components and document critical design and configuration details to support enterprise cloud initiatives.
  • The Azure Cloud Engineer will be primarily responsible for utilizing technical skills to coordinate enhancements and deployment efforts on Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and to provide insight and recommendations for implementing client solutions.
  • Engineers will work closely with other cloud teams, project managers, engineers, and other functions across clients from various geographies.
  • Consulting with client stakeholders on strategies for deployment of new cloud technology implementations, monitoring and optimization of existing equipment
  • Delivering end-to-end infrastructure management solutions in a cloud environment
  • Improving infrastructure operations through better use of monitoring, cloud coding and scripting best practices
  • Help support application, database and infrastructure migration to cloud environments
  • Implementing cloud governance, build, deployment and monitoring standards for the clients

Qualifications / Eligibility criteria
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 3-6 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure
  • Understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Integration of various Azure resources (IaaS and PaaS) to deliver an end to end automation. - Thorough understanding of Continuous integration and continuous delivery using Azure DevOps.
  • Performing cost analysis of the Azure platform to identify where cost efficiencies could be had
  • Sound understanding of Azure Active directory and conditional access policies. - Proficiency in developing infrastructure automation scripts in the form of ARM templates and Azure Power Shell scripts which can then be provided to application teams as consumables.
  • Good grasp of Azure governance principles and hands-on experience in rolling out compliance and governance polices.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal for technical and non-technical audiences. - Good working and hands on knowledge of Azure IaaS, Vnet, Subnets, Firewalls.
  • Experience working with DevOps tools for collaboration and continuous integration. - Experience with agile ways of working.
  • Previous experience in cloud native migration tooling such as Azure Database Migration Service,
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Good to have: Experience in multiple cloud and cloud certification in Microsoft Azure
  • Good to have: Experience with any of the firewalls.
  • Good to have: Hands-on experience in migration and deployment of Microsoft M365 and other SaaS solutions.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple assignments, and raise concerns/questions where appropriate
  • Own the work assigned from end-to-end
