What you should have
- Expert knowledge of various MSSQL environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills within and outside the database environment.
- Setting up and maintaining High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Experience working with Windows servers including Active Directory.
- Expert knowledge of database internals and data structures
- Strong knowledge of SQL/SQLPlus and strong understanding of PL/SQL and stored procedures/pkgs.
- Strong Knowledge of Database Tuning and optimization activities.
- Experience with backups restores and recovery models
- Expert knowledge of Replication, Cluster, Always-On
What you will do
- MSSQL DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical MSSQL DB server instances, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of the applications.
- This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Responsible for defining business requirements, recommending a technical solution, reviewing technical documentation, building POC and upskilling junior resources.
- Manage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
