Job Description
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Planning, coordinating, developing and implementation ofaerospace/aircraft relatedengineering projects through the application of Configuration Management processes, policies and procedures
  • Maintain integrity of Configuration Database including: Part number control (entry/modification) and Part master attribute control (serialization, traceability).
    Arrange configuration control board meetings
  • Establish and maintain required configuration records.
  • Utilize and maintain engineering and configuration and data management procedures.
  • Operate, input and manage configuration and documentation status using digital systems.
  • Gather and provide necessary data and engineering items to support technical meetings.
  • Support Engineering team with management of requirements and critical program data.
  • Support program management and engineering staff in utilization of database tools and processes.
  • Represent C&DM (Configuration & Data management) discipline to business units as first point of contact for process implementation and staffing.
  • Provide direction to subordinates/peers as well as cross-functional teams.
  • Propose, coordinate and instantiate updates to enterprise processes and tools regarding C&DM criteria as compliance requirements evolve while assuring tool and multi-discipline platform constraints are mitigated and opportunities maximized.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, and other product development teams. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary

  • Bachelor or Masters in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering degree

Work Experience and Essential Skills:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working on aircraft related projects to ensure about the basic understanding of aircraft configuration management best practices
  • Ability to review and assess aerospace data integrity against standards, and train others to understand and adhere to those aerospace preferred Configuration &Data Management (C&DM) standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, and comfortable learning new databases.
  • Experience utilizing various Engineering PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) softwares to manage technical and engineering data.

Skills & Requirements
  • Requirements management experience desired.
  • Basic knowledge on aerospace C&DM Certification Programs.
