The Team:
The CIB Global Regulatory Change andControls (GRCC) team sits within CIB Operations and has responsibility for providing oversight, leadership and management of regulatory reporting controls agenda across CIB Operations. The team's remit covers:
  • Regulatory change and advocacy
  • Definition, delivery and implementation of Regulatory Reporting Control Framework
  • Definition, delivery and implementation of Control Operating Models
  • Leading cross line of business regulatory projects
  • Leading the CIB's strategic transformational regulatory reporting program
  • Deep dives of the Regulatory Reporting Control environment
Role Description:
This Project Manager/Controls role will be responsible for managing multiple, large, cross line of business, cross location projects & controls initiatives in the regulatory reporting change and controls work stream, to ensure JPMorgan's full compliance with the evolving legislation from regulators.
The role is based is based in Mumbai and is a part of a global regulatory change and control team that is spread across Asia, EMEA and North America. This role provides breadth and depth of visibility across the CIB CAO organization with extensive cross functional and cross business exposure, and the opportunity to creatively problem solve on a broad scale. This role partners extensively with Operations teams aligned to Lines of business, Local branch operations, Technology, Compliance, Audit and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage delivery of regulatory reporting change projects across APAC branches.
  • Work closely with regional and local operations teams to understand and detail out business requirements to comply with local regulatory reporting mandate.
  • Translate business requirements to system specifications based on analysis and understanding of reporting requirement, asset classes/ products in scope, booking models and system landscape across trade capture, risk management and settlement functions.
  • Partner with technology team to drive the design, delivery and implementation of strategic and sustainable report solutions and operating models in the regulatory reporting environment.
  • Facilitate and lead project working group meetings across local/regional operations teams and technology.
  • Ensure transparency of project status to senior management, identify, mitigate, resolve risk and issues & ensure completion of assigned projects
  • Drive high quality delivery across all projects, ensuring the right balance is maintained between quality, functionality, schedule and cost, in compliance with JPMC Project Life Cycle and Internal Processes
  • Manage stakeholder expectations effectively and facilitate decision-making by providing right level of information and timely escalation when required
  • Actively participate in global programs in the regulatory reporting space so that Asia requirements are aligned with global initiatives including strategic architecture for regulatory reporting and regulatory reporting standards
  • Provide oversight on regulatory reporting issues / breaches, ensuring that root causes are understood and remediation plans in place.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Understanding of OTC Derivative products (Credit, Rates, FX, Equities and Commodities)
  • Exposure to local regulatory reporting landscape across APAC countries would be highly beneficial.
  • Strong project management and delivery experience with the ability to plan, prioritize and deliver against deadlines.
  • Significant knowledge of operational processes and controls, with good understanding of risk and controls functions.
  • Logical and structured approach to planning, problem solving and decision-making.
  • Effective communication skills, with an ability to negotiate and influence different levels of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with partners across multiple disciplines, functions and locations.
  • Capacity to think laterally and convey an understanding of the big picture
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adept at multi-tasking across projects
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
