With the recent launch of Amazon Business in Canada, we are expanding our North American sales team to make buying even easier for Canadian business customers across all verticals. Companies can now easily manage their procurement needs and purchase supplies through Amazon Business and Business Prime.
Account Representatives in the SMB segment are responsible for building and managing their book of business leveraging solution-selling, traditional and digital prospecting tactics, and supporting long-term strategic customer relationships. The primary areas of responsibility include prospecting, expert knowledge of features and products to create a personalized solution for each institution (feature adoption), and developing relationships with buying decision makers across functional areas such as Information Technology, Facilities, and more.
The Account Representative will ensure recommended solutions meet our customer's procurement needs and will recommend approaches and alternatives that fit their environment. The candidate will work closely with customers across multiple verticals to manage deployment and ensure that our solutions are successfully adopted. This is an Inside Sales role with 10% travel (tradeshows and customer meetings).
The ideal candidate will have relevant consultative sales experience and have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals and revenue targets.
Core Responsibilities:
· Understand business opportunities from country-specific insights and communicate these insights to the recruitment/category teams around the world
· Own the P&L for AB Global 3P Selling
· Work with US category teams and buyside Sales to identify initiatives to be driven by in country recruitment teams
· Work with the technical and product teams to drive prioritization of initiatives considering the global Seller recruitment requirements and pain points
· Author opportunity analyses and deep dives into high visibility topics and present the findings to the Director and VP levels
· Be the subject matter expert for the sourcing countries selection
· Bridge communication and best practices across international teams around the world
· Meet quarterly goals for new business acquisition, selection, and revenue targets, as well as key quality and operational metrics
· Understand and utilize CRM and Analytics tools such as Salesforce.com and Tableau to track pertinent pipeline metrics and sales progress as well as developing forecast and activity prioritization
· Prepare and deliver business reviews on progress and state of health for the sourcing countries
· Develop a thorough understanding of the B2B and e-commerce industry and competitive landscape, including knowledge of competitive product offerings
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· BA/BS degree or equivalent experience including 5+ years of sales or business development experience
· Experience driving large, cross functional, projects within recognizably successful organizations in a comparable fast paced environment. Experience with ecommerce businesses is beneficial
· Demonstrated ability of solving problems and business challenges through analyzing and data
· Proven ability to develop successful relationships with internal and external partners
· Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others
· Ability to work with legal, product, and internal business owners to reach mutually beneficial agreements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· MBA preferred
· Basic to intermediate SQL skills highly desirable
· Strong analytical skills including Microsoft Excel
· Experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM tool
· Experience using Tableau or other business analytics tools
· Experience in international or cross-border business
