Position Summary:
  • Business Data Analyst is key team member of the business in providing comprehensive analytical framework, encompassing critical business support parameters through creating dashboards, leveraging systems and tools
  • As a position holder, you will be significantly involved in helping drive business strategy, enable multitude of data sets and enable the Executive Team to drive all aspects of the business
  • This is a business analysis and support functional role which interacts with commercial / business as well as finance teams for tracking and analyzing business trends, establish tools and systems and helps in strategic decision-making - with heavy usage of technical knowledge
  • This role has multiple opportunities to innovate through sharp data analytics & provide inputs to the business teams for exponential revenue & bottom line growth

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Create 'dashboards' or decision-making tools of performance metrics on the basis of inputs provided by the Finance team to help / assist management to track / monitor the division performance and help in strategic decision-making
  • Work with cross functional teams like Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions for implementation of division-wide systems and processes so that relevant data points are captured for performance tracking and analysis
  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards
  • Align on KPIs and data sources to be used
  • Perform data transformations to make data in format which can be easily scaled across different categories and business segments.
  • Implement feedback from business users and further enhance the dashboard.
  • Modify the processes and data sources to ensure they are set-up correctly to enable refresh of dashboard at aligned intervals in the production environment.
  • Constantly evaluate and improve existing BI systems
  • Impart training for effective usage and improve efficiency through such tools
  • Identify existing business process for efficiency enhancement using BI solutions.
  • Work with regional APAC BI team closely to perform data extraction and data transformation processes to create the data set required for the dashboard and share feedback in case of any errors
  • Present results of analytic tools, including financial analysis and operational data analysis to business teams across the organization.

Required Skillset:
  • Engineering background preferred or graduation in any stream (BE/B.Tech,/BSc/BCom)
  • Experience of 3-6 years expected
  • Experienced in all aspects of Power BI, including establishing gateways, DAX and M
  • Hands on experience of data manipulation in SQL, Python and R
  • Proficient designing and implementing data models and data integration
  • Experience with ERP system & overall data architecture especially SAP
  • Experience with CRM applications like Salesforce will be added advantage
  • Self-driven and self-starter
