Job Description

The individual will work with a number of key internal and external stakeholders. These include the Operations, clients and technology team. Key roles and responsibilities have been defined below.
• Conduct workshops with Operations Team to understand end-to-end processes & develop:
a. Process maps, Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) and Training materials
b. Identify manual steps in the process, controls, risk and hand off points, time taken to complete the activities
c. Identify optimization and automation opportunities
d. Challenge process owners in case of any inconsistencies in the current process
• Work with process owners to design future-state processes
a. Assess suitability for process automation (ex: RPA), enabling process optimization.
• Train the operations team based on the training materials and SOPs
Financial Markets and Products :
• Sound Knowledge on capital markets especially in Equities and Fixed Income (FI) post trade Settlement
IT Systems :
• Good understanding of the system infrastructure supporting Equity and Fixed income Operations
General Destop applications :
• MS Office : Excel , Word and Powerpoint
• Proficiency in using Visio or similar workflow documentation tool
• Business analysis, and/or change management
• Ability to dissect high-level information into granular details and incorporate them in Process maps and SOPs enabling stakeholders to have detailed view of process
• Proficiency in using Visio, similar workflow tool
• Strong analytical skills – ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusion relevant to the business problem.
• Ability to work effectively & independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to engage with cross-functional teams for implementation of project/program requirements
• Ability to contribute and challenge to improve performance and at the same time be able to communicate with peers and other senior members of the team
• Enthusiastic and motivated to work as a role model for the rest of the team
• Client focused to provide excellent service delivery to internal and external stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Post graduates will be preferred.
• Minimum 6 – 9 / 8 – 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst in capital markets industry especially in Equities and Fixed Income post trade settlement.
