About Retail Business Services (RBS)
The RBS group in an integral part of the Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. The team's goal is to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information.
Within RBS, the World Wide Defect Elimination team strives to reduce the problems identified with the products. The team's primary role is to identify root cause, eliminate the defect and implement solutions to fix the issue permanently, thereby improving customer experience. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.
About the Role

Amazon's Retail Business Services (RBS) team is looking for a Business Analyst for the customer returns elimination program. The role requires you to bring business insights and guide the team to focus on the right customer problems. The ideal candidate will work with senior leadership and other internal/external stakeholders, helping them make data-driven decisions, up problems through various analysis. The successful candidate will be an exceptional strategic thinker and will have exposure to customer experience improvement. Key skills for the role include an extraordinary ability to deal with ambiguity, to network effectively and influence partner teams without authority, to overcome unforeseen obstacles, and a passion for developing a deep understanding of the tech product.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
. Create 1-3 years plan for customer returns reduction backed up by strong business acumen and insights
. Build self-service infrastructure to facilitate internal and external stakeholders with customer return drivers
. Liaise between business and tech teams to build large scale solutions to solve customer problems
. Own partnerships with Data Engineering team to ensure smooth onboarding and retrieval of data
. Automation and upkeep of weekly, monthly, quarterly business performance reports & insights
. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know how, when and which data sources to use.
. Own the data preparation to run financial / Customer Experience estimates for pilots/experiments
Act as the custodian of data for the customer returns elimination team and maintain sanity of data across all stakeholders
Basic Qualifications :
. 3+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis
. Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
. Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
. Experience with SQL
. Experience in Excel
Preferred Qualifications :
. 5+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
. Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)
. Advanced ability to draw insights from analysis supported by data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required
. Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
