Job Purpose (Job Summary):
JOB PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY): The Business Analyst - APAC sits within the Distribution Data Domain Office as a part of Invesco's Insights, Analytics, and Marketing organization working with Invesco's businesses in APAC. The role requires a deep understanding of our transactional and positional client intelligence to drive our platforms and capabilities across analytics, sales, marketing and other enterprise functions.The Business Analyst - APAC helps deliver on our roadmap for transactional and positional client data, focused on the APAC region and within a global distribution data framework, architecture and taxonomy. They will partner with a technology scrum team (Engineering), enterprise data architecture, and data stewardship to ensure data is structured and curated to leverage across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Work with Senior Product Owner in executing tactical and strategic roadmaps to ensure Asia business data needs are met
  • Understand and map the business processes across various regions in APAC, develop deep knowledge about data sources and provide recommendations to suit business needs
  • Collaborate with various technical, functional and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into well-defined user stories
  • Serves as liaison & coordinator between capability platforms and technology to ensure integration and enhancements are executed in accordance with data strategy across a set of domain programs.
  • Supports the execution of data initiatives in their domain (or platform) such as user story creation, impact analysis, solutioning, testing strategy, business process review, user acceptance testing, cross team coordination, and issue escalation.
  • Contributes to data governance and data quality execution through planning activities, creating and monitoring data quality metrics, translating requests into technical requirements, and identifying process inefficiencies.
  • Prepare, maintain and own documentation using Jira, Confluence etc. related to various data initiatives for APAC region

Work Experience / Knowledge:
  • Technical and business background with history of working in large, complex projects preferably within an Agile framework
  • Experience communicating the value of data as a foundation for capability enablement in a low data maturity environment & evidence of having done this successfully in the past
  • Background in asset management distribution across all client segments is a plus

  • Solid business acumen including ability to think strategically, exhibit sound business judgement, and demonstrated strong drive-for-results

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of experienceAdvanced degrees (MS/MBA) preferred

License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
  • SQL and good understanding of MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook preferredCBAP, CSM, CSPO certification would be an added advantage

Working Conditions:
  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or initiative. Hours may include evenings and/or weekends.
