This is an assistant vice president role within Broking Ops area of Wealth Operations provide operational support to Private Bank India.
What will you be doing
  • Candidate should be young dynamic and having fair understanding of security market products and hands on experience of Broking Operations across all segments.
    • Ensure flawless operation of Risk Management and Back office systems/processes across Equity, Currency/Derivatives segment. Ensure BAU is performed as per the SLA and in controlled manner to avoid any errors or audit observations.
    • Candidate should familiar with BAU activities Broking Operation and should be hands on with Broking BO system & able to manage seemliness implementation of changes, UAT in BO system. Working experience on Dolphin system would be added advantage.
    • Candidate should be capable of managing multiple projects, system migration along with BAU.
    • Should have prior experience of stakeholder management.
    • Liaise with market intermediaries such as exchanges, custodies, DPs.
    • Managing & Performing BAU activities for HNI wealth operation
    • Managing & Performing BAU activities for Futures Clearing (Institutional Business)
    • Thorough understanding of Capital Market business.
    • Demonstrates clear understanding of broking risk systems, exchange terminals, products and processes
    • Good knowledge of accounting principles.
    • Escalates breaches of policies and procedures appropriately
    • Has good understanding and is up-to-date with relevant sector/department knowledge.
    • Regularly attend the seminars to keep abreast with the market
    • Understands and complies with all applicable governance, compliance, risk policies and procedures
    • Seek out areas for improvement and built efficiency in the process
    • Knowledge transfer and mentoring to the team members.
    • Requires no supervision. Manages time and prioritises workload. Ensures the output of the team is delivered on time
    • Managing All types of Internal and External Audits.
    • Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met to ensure smooth functioning of business
    • Managing Treasury from Broking operation perspective
    • Maintains a thorough understanding of regulations affecting operational areas across Exchange segments and ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements at all times and spread awareness to the team.
    • Individual should be able to understand the regulatory circulars and according implement the same within the given timelines by coordinating with Technology /Product /Business/Compliance.
    • Candidate should be able to design & implement robust controls and take corrective actions where necessary.
    • Provide extensive support to the India Ops head in delivering Ops agenda on efficiency and automation project. Closely work with global stakeholders and provide update on development, issues or support required for India franchise
    • Recommend and Develop solutions on Process improvement and reoccurring issues within operational groups.
    • Should have good knowledge of Broking operation, Risk management, Treasury Function so that the candidate will be able to guide the team .
    • Should be expertise in client servicing and a solution provider to the stakeholder as well to this team.

  • CA/ICWAI or equivalent
  • Previous experience of managing entire broking operations.
  • Fair understanding of regulatory requirements of broking, implementation of new requirements and regulatory fillings
