Deliver Test Analyst responsibilities over multiple testing projects in Retail and Business Banking. Provide support to QA leadership team by taking ownership of some of the key strategic initiatives. Brings in industry expertise and knowledge into testing to drive innovation and new capabilities for testing. Play anchor role in test design, test scope definition, test automation and quality metrics.
What will you be doing
    • Participate in requirements gathering and analysis activities and assessing the application from test automation perspective.
    • Understanding functionality related to given module.
    • Develop and execute formal test plans within schedule.
    • Develop test specifications based on various requirement documents within schedule constraints.
    • Create test scenarios/ scripts/ data sheets/ sample data to assist the test team in implementing the test approach.
    • Document defects & track till closure.
    • Create & execute complex test ware - estimates, scenarios, cases, data
    • Develop test bed and verify test environments.
    • Set up and Execute tests using both automation tools and manual methods as applicable aligning to overall test strategy defined.
    • Analyse the defects and direct development teams with appropriate details and contribute to the problem resolution.
    • Review Integrated Environment dependencies and highlight the risks for the Programmes
    • Define overall environment and data approach for the programme/project.
    • Drive Test Automation, Tool selection etc. within programme/project.
    • Understand the Systems Architecture, Test Environments landscape and share your understanding within the team
    • Escalate any issues to Test Manager/Portfolio Test Lead as appropriate and in timely manner and provide options to resolve the issues
    • Demonstrate an improvement in business and/or system knowledge in your relevant program line

What we're looking for:
    • Demonstrates strong understanding of application(s) and business domain(s)
    • Able to Interface effectively with business and technical stakeholders for requirements and design clarifications
    • Demonstrate the ability to work independently on all aspects of the testing lifecycle
    • Identifies reusable and innovative ways of testing approaches and methods for testing application or domain
    • Drives test team to adhere to test schedule in conjunction with project schedule, Collaborates with other work streams to recover slippages
    • Assesses and effectively communicates impact on the existing systems/business processes and estimates the effort involved in implementing the change
    • Risks are foreseen and raised at appropriate forum
    • Suggests mitigation for Risks identified
    • Strong analytical capacity
    • Aptitude to quickly learn new tools/apps/processes/domains
    • Good Knowledge of various industry standard testing terminologies, processes and tools
    • Exposure on working and guiding in a team environment on testing projects
    • Hands-on experience in one or more technical platform areas of Personal Banking technology systems of below platforms
      • Open Systems and tools - Selenium, Java, Jenkins, J2EE, Web-services, APIs, XML, JSON, Parasoft/SoaTest -API testing
    • Domain Knowledge in Retail Banking and testing experience in one or more core banking product platforms/systems.
    • Experience in JIRA and similar test management tools.

    • Domain/Testing/Technical certification will be an advantage
