Job Description



Role Responsibilities


  1. Lead Delivery of HP and HPCM System change solutions


  1. Act as a single point of system change request aggregation

  2. Project management: manage multiple projects, drive project planning, resource planning for success of these projects Issue resolution & escalation management being able to manage and communicate to key stakeholders

  3. Have a deep understanding of Planning Process & systems design, existing multi-dimensional data models, built-in business logic and Management Reporting processes.

  4. Be the sign-off point for amendments & enhancements to the systems.

  5. Lead both technical system developers and financial business analysts as a virtual delivery team

  6. Owning the system configuration components and the business logic built in the systems, maintaining an understanding of how they have been delivered in the solution design vis-à-vis &lsquoBusiness Requirements&rsquo.

  7. Understand Data Integration processes and existing interfaces between Planning systems and upstream/downstream applications initiating appropriate changes whenever required as part of overall system change management,

  8. Reference Data Management/ MDM Supporting a robust Reference data management process and ensuring Planning systems are updated with all reference data changes in a timely manner.

  9. Actively participate in ongoing Finance Transformation program and assess impact of the transformation in Planning & Cost Allocation Systems

Mentoring team members in non-technical growth areas (communication, leadership, presentation skills etc)
  • Manage the key challenges driving the day-to-day activities including impact on processes, operating models, data management and business/technology changes

  • Managing the day-to-day change management processes which include

    1. Maintaining an updated Change Request Tracker

    2. Change Requirements Analysis-Documenting requirements & Business analysis

    3. Monthly Change release &ndashChange Book of Work planning

    4. Participation in Change prioritization reviews

    5. CR / BRD document preparation, with updated Test strategy and CR Logging

    6. Walkthrough of CRs with Technical Development Team & resolving Tech. Queries

    7. UAT Test Strategy & Planning, Test cases / Test scripts and Functional testing

    8. UAT Test coordination with end users & closure

    9. UVT- Post release test coordination

    10. Daily review calls & status reporting

    11. Initiating Change CRs for Issue Fixes where required

    12. Reporting of UAT Issues & Post Release Issue summary


    Support SCB&rsquos Finance Transformation Aspire agenda, participating in the Aspire program activities and transition of existing Financial Reporting & Planning systems into the Aspire SAP Platform.
    Exercise right level of diligence, control and governance while designing the new process/ change to comply with bank&rsquos Data Quality and Reporting Standards.
  • Ensure Operational risk monitoring across all processes covered by the team and report key risks emanating from them to right forums.

  • Ensure complete compliance with Group Code of Conduct and support the social agenda of the organization


  • Lead BAU System Support Activities - Managing Application BAU support processes which include the following:

    1. User Access Management

    2. User Training

    3. Level 2 / 3 Support- incident management & timely issue resolution

    4. Tracking, Analysis & Reporting User queries & Issues- Coordinating Service Now integration

    5. Monitor scheduled data flows- upstream & downstream & its reconciliation

    6. Planning & coordinating data validation checks to ensure integrity of plan data

    7. Change Deployment- UAT & UVT Testing

    8. Coordination with Stakeholders & Technology Teams - SRM calls, BAU status reporting

    9. User communications- Downtime, system readiness etc.

  • Planning Support Intranet Portal updates
  • Application Documentation Updates

  • FDMEE change management- Mapping maintenance for data interfaces
    Ensuring changes for production fixes are deployed in a timely manner
    Open Issues- Daily Reporting, Tracking to closure with RCA- by criticality & ageing
  • Drive continuous improvement in BAU processes bringing innovation where possible

  • Integration of Service Now portal for User query & issue tracking, communications and Knowledge management.

    3. Preferred - Knowledge of BI Reporting & Analytical tools such as Tableau, Power BI
