We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Lead Architect Wholesale Business - Wholesale Banking is at the heart of growth at HSBC, generating more than US$20 billion each year, and turning over more than US$1 million of trade every minute. Role Description:
  • Design scalable, secure and resilient integrations solutions utilizing both traditional and cloud technologies (private/hybrid/public).
  • Provide end-to-end ownership of solutions delivered to meet requirements, delivering the platform architecture required to realize both functional and non-functional capabilities.
  • Ability to create clear, concise proposals for solutions and brokering agreement across multiple stakeholders. Strong experience of working with stakeholders across multiple disciplines business analysts, product owners, testing teams and wider business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience of automating processes and procedures end-to-end.
  • Performance driven nature and excellent problem solving capability with the ability to understand and further explain complex technical concepts.
  • Collaborative approach to solving problems and sharing knowledge.
  • Prior experience of working in financial institutions is preferred.
  • Experience in an enterprise environment including an understanding of traditional processes and procedures and how they may impact a digital transformation.
  • Understanding of modern development and associated tooling, integration, technology, patterns and practices to design, build and continuously improve an automated factory for software delivery, through till production.
  • Should be able to work on multiple activities like design, development and testing.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with experience of adapting their style to audience
  • Strong relationship building and management skills
  • Demonstrably strong analytics skills in problem solving in a global and integrated application management
  • At least 5 years experience in Architecture in Financial Services domain and technology
  • Strong IT background to enable participation in appropriate architectural and design conversations
  • Strong understanding of Agile systems/software development life cycle management and DevOps tools
  • Strong understanding of process design and budget management
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering, master degree in related field is preferable
  • Experience in managing or leading cross-stream project with solid project management methodology
  • Experience working with an international financial services company

  • Cloud CICD: GCP Cloud Build, AWS CodeDepoy, AWS CodePipelines
  • Container CICD: Flux, Tekton
  • ARO tooling
  • Resilience
  • Typical DevOps languages: Bash, Python
  • Ability to code
  • OS config: RHEL, Ubuntu, Dockerfile
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Kubernetes manifests, CloudFormation etc
  • Tools: JIRA, Confluence, git, GitHub, Nexus
  • Cloud-native: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with modern engineering practices e.g. TDD, BDD, CI/CD, PaaS, architecture standards e.g. TOGAF.
  • Enterprise Architecture practices
  • Modelling, Visio, Troux
