Job Title : Assistant Manager- Intermodal Business Development

Short Brief on role:

Intermodal Business Development- Act as Expert in Intermodal Business Development.
Key Responsibilities

. Plan, process and speed up the intermodal movement at the lowest cost
. Promote Import/Export Carrier Haulage and ensure commercial targets are met
. Review best process in the industry and apply the same for the benefit of the Line
. Develop First Mile/Last Mile pan-India
. Prepare the Intermodal Tariff and respond to rate queries
. Look out for new opportunities to serve the customer and to improvise the intermodal product.
. Closely follow imbalance situation to promote imports to deficit pools and export from surplus pools
. Relay intermodal issues & opportunities with HO on a regular basis
Key Performance Standards

. Meet or exceed intermodal budget
. Ensure Pendency is kept at a minimal level
. Increase Intermodal savings through new or existing initiatives (Block trains, VDS, etc.)
. Increase Logistics savings through new or existing initiatives (Log Incentive, NOR, etc.)
. Monitor Intermodal issues in association with DOC/CSU Teams
. Increase Carrier Haulage sold at destination
. Assess profitability of Intermodal activities
Requirements and Specific Skills:
  • Min MBA /Graduate
  • 5 Years experience in sales with Shipping Industry
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication Skills
  • Well verse with MS Office tools specially Power Point and Excel.
  • Good Negotiation skills
  • Build rapport with colleagues /Partners for positive solutions
