Job Description

Position - Asst. Manager FP&A
Location - Mumbai
Reporting - FP&A & RGM Leader - India (who reports to Director Finance)
Position Summary

  • This position works in team of India FP&A and would support in

    • One of Category's Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

    • Marketing Spends / Digital Spends Analysis

    • driving Cash flow forecasting / reviews for India business

    • Exports and Government Channels P&L for India business

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

  • Responsible for Analysis of a Category's month-end result and mid-month P&L forecasting

  • Preparation of one of Category's Annual and quarterly budgets P&L and AOC

  • Closely work with marketing team on new product launches, pack price architecture & A&P spends. The role will also drive post-launch evaluations.

  • Closely work with marketing team to bring process and reviews around Marketing & Digital spends.

  • In-depth P&L analysis including competition and connected industry benchmarking from best available public information.

  • Cash flow - budgeting, driving reviews and tracking of actions.

  • Exports and Government Channels P&L for India business

  • India Business Overall Performance & trends tracking versus the agreed KPIs circulation

  • Adhoc analysis around various emerging situation including higher spends by competition, decision on resource allocation between Trade and consumer, etc.

  • Act as strong business partner to commercial & Ops team in driving business results.

  • Experience in business analysis, financial planning and reporting within FMCG or similar business

  • Good communication Skills

  • Conversant with financial data tools (Anaplan, SAP primary & DMS secondary sales)

  • Quality of deliverables including input data sanctity & robust analytical outputs

  • Ability to structure work-streams overcoming ambiguity (e.g lack of availability of complete data sets)

  • Good experience in working with financial data to identify commercial opportunities

  • Understanding of analyses tools (Power BI, excel etc), techniques (price elasticity, cross elasticity, mix management etc)


  • As required, upto 10%

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Business Management (MBA) and / or CA

  • 2-3 years of relevant Post qualification work experience

  • Proficiency on Analytical tools (Power BII, Excel) and PowerPoint

The ideal candidate should have headroom for growth after delivering in the current role & would be evaluated for subsequent roles depending on the interest of the candidate and organizational priorities.
