Job Description

Role Expectations
a. Design of wiring harness (Schematic and drawings) , Design Verification & Validation Requirements, Compilation of Test Reports and BOM generation.
b. Electrical HV & LV component selections like Lamps, Switches, Fuses, Contactors and HV& LV Connectors etc.
c. Electrical Architecture/Schematic Realization
General Requirement:
Undertake Design & Development activity for wiring harness schematic and 2D drawings for electric vehicles.
New Concept Development, Upgrade existing concepts.
Knowledge of DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DRD Preparation, Get DMU analysis done as per interaction Matrix etc.
Preparing BOM, Spec., Design Verification & Validation Requirements, Compilation of Test Reports.
Support to Proto, Production and Validation teams. Analysing & Problem solving using 8D etc.
Wiring harness components selection as per required standard (low & high voltage, 12 V to 400 V).
Software: CAPITAL H V18/20/21(CATIA optional) & Team Centre.
Functional Competencies:
Design Knowledge of wiring harness, WH simulation software knowledge will be added advantage.
Good understanding of electrical circuits.
Knowledge of EV Systems and Design.
Fair knowledge on Electric Vehicle level EMI/EMC requirements for wiring harness layout.
Knowledge in EE components, connector and LV, HV Harness selection and sizing, LV WH routing and 2D generation
Hands-on skill in LV WH drawing preparation BOM Preparation
Involve in supplier interaction and cost reduction activities
Knowledge of EV wiring harness standard / regulatory requirements of EV.
Knowledge on EV wiring harness tests/ component level DVP preparation/ vehicle level validation requirements.
Target driven, Good analytical skills, Understanding of design practices and national/international standards.
