Department Overview:
The U.S. Home Lending Servicing Self-Assurance Quality Analytics team and program ensures optimum focus on risk disciplines, executing a consistent approach, and achieving holistic coverage to properly control risk across Home Lending Servicing and creating greater connectivity to enterprise risk management. Activities that perform self-assurance monitoring of customer interactions and processes across Wells Fargo Home Lending contact centers. Administration and support functions will ensure consistent approach to execution include support of the review script development update process, documentation, and tracking, centralization of population gathering and sampling, as well as, reporting to monitor execution and results. Moreover, will perform ad hoc analysis and activities that ensure holistic coverage to control risk include development of Data Driven Review and usage of quality tools functionality to identify risk and provide oversight. Root cause and ad-hoc analysis will support the Self-Assurance Activities (SAA) program holistically.
About the Role:

The Data, Analytics, Insights and Forecasting is a team within the Deposit and Credit Bureau Management Office (DCBMO) in charge of developing, producing and managing reports, insights and key performance and risk metrics across DCBMO. The Data, Analytics, Insights and Forecasting team manages data oversight including data quality and monitoring practices for DCBMO central data repository and impacting systems. Data, Analytics, Insights and Forecasting team provides detailed analytics ad insights including operational modeling and forecasting support for business functions and budgetary processes.
The Analytics Consultant reviews the work through the intake process, meets with the line of business (LOB) to determine the specific requirements and conducts tests as needed
Work types that are in-scope but not limited to:
  • Analyze and gather reporting requirements from the US/India partners and senior consultants
  • Reports development and dashboards using the best practices
  • Hands-on in ETL tools and data modelling concepts to build the data structures with minimal assistance
  • Develop the Reporting/Dashboards in Tableau suite
  • Performs complex analysis of findings and trends using statistical and/or financial analysis, modeling, process documentation etc
  • Recommends solutions to increase revenue, reduce expense, and maximize operational efficiency
  • Sound working knowledge in any one of the relational databases.(Teradata, MS SQl, Oracle …)
  • Serve as a valuable resource to the other members of the team while promoting knowledge sharing and team collaboration
  • Responsible for consulting with partners to identify and define business requirements and translate business needs into complex analysis designs and recommendations
  • Identifies and recommends internal and external data sources, compiles/mines data from multiple, cross business sources
  • Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies
  • Take lead on projects and provide guidance to less experienced team members
Essential Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis
  • Overall job experience : 3 to 5 years Mandatory
  • Experience in one or a combination of the following: Credit Bureau, Analytics, Reporting and ETL
  • Experience in developing reporting in Tableau and Excel
  • Experience in SAS, good to have other ETL tools working knowledge
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • To a certain degree, may assist indirectly in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools,
  • Dashboards, etc. that enable analysis, modeling, text mining and/or data visualization
  • Exploratory data analysis and statistical using SAS/Python
  • Data visualization in Tableau
  • Experience in analytic tools like SAS, Tableau, Python and other traditional reporting and analytics tools
Desired Skills:
  • Good to have exposure with analytics or BI Reporting Tools
  • Domain knowledge about Home Mortgage or other secured lending products is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment. Detail oriented, results driven, and has the ability to navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills
