Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Accounting Teams develop, implement and/or maintain one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. They also design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
This role should evolve over a period to take over the responsibilities of Manager Finance heading the overall Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Banking & Treasury and Payroll Front End activities.
As a member of Controlling & Accounting function, the Accounts Payable (AP) Lead will
  • Processing Vendor Master Data Activities for Accounts Payable (Trade Payable, Intercompany Activities and Employee Reimbursements collectively called AP team), within S2P sub vertical in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies / guidelines / procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Manage monthly expense provisioning, preparation of schedules / variance report for major expense lines
  • Timely closure and review of month end / quarter end / year end reporting
  • Handling statutory audit / internal audits and assisting in other audit requirements with active participation

Review team's day to day activities, including but not limited to invoicing, employee / procurement queries, audit requests, analysis and other requests pertaining to the accounts payable function
  • Responsible for overall deliverables related to -
    • Smooth and efficient AP process
    • On Time Payment (OTP) Initiatives
    • Query / Block Management
  • Preparing Dashboards at regular interval publishing the AP Metrices
  • Provide forecasting input to Manager Finance to estimate realistically the Cash Payout for the month. Project and Control forecasted Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
  • Vendor Master Data Maintenance / Clean Up activities to be performed to comply with the fiscal and internal control requirements.
  • Provide AP related data for Compliance Purpose

Provide thoughtful analysis and recommendations to foster dialogue with business leaders to make informed decisions based on trends, performance and future projections
  • Document, monitor and execute internal control procedures that encompass our company's Internal Compliance controls
  • Understand business direction, key changes and needs; initiate and lead the conversations on how AP team needs to mold and adapt to stay proactive
  • Effective Communication with TE India's vendors & internal teams such as Direct and Indirect Procurement, Employees, ISC, GLOG, Taxation, Warehouse, Plant Operations teams regarding changes to procedures, tools and other items that may impact the processing of vendor invoices
  • Interact with Third Party / In House Service Providers such as Capgemini, Regional FSSCs, India Business Units Controllers, India Controller as and when needed
  • Drive SAP Process Improvement / New Implementation Projects - specking / testing and ensuring control readiness
  • Support Process & System Integration Projects for SAP & S4Hana, Drive process automations and minimize manual processes / controls
  • To participate & lead in departmental initiatives, Handling internal customer queries, Performing regularly AP KPI Reporting

Desirable Candidate:
  • CA / ICWA (Intermediate) OR MBAs. Minimum 9-12+ years of experience with minimum of 3-5 years in Component / FMCG industry handling AP functions independently
  • People Management Experience of 3+ years - Performance Appraisals, Coaching, Development, Managing large number of stakeholders
  • Expert Knowledge of SAP - S2P / GL / CO Module. SAP Hana knowledge would be an added advantage.
  • Advance Excel / PowerPoint knowledge. Knowledge of Power BI will be helpful.Working knowledge of FEMA and Import Procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of Withholding Tax (TDS / TCS) requirements and Procurement related laws (such as MSMED Act). Personal Income Tax knowledge
