Job Description for Manager - Finance

1. BasicRequirements

• Educational Qualification : Chartered Accountant Final or Inter
• Age : Around 35Years

• Experience: 10 to 12 Years with hands on experience in Manufacturing or whole selling Industry

• CTC Budget: Rs. 12.00 to Rs. 15.00 Lacs PA

2. Purpose of the Job

• Ensuring accurate accounting

• Ensuring all reporting is made on a correct and timely basis

• Ensuring proper compliance of Direct and Indirect Taxes

• Ensuring timely completion of Statutory Audit, Tax Audit etc.

3. Major Activities / Principal Account abilities

A. Finance & Accounting–

a. Accounting:

1. All transactions are recorded on daily basis and in a most efficient manner

2. Inter company Transactions

3. Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L Monthly

4. Correct allocation of Cost Centre / Profit Center codes for all transactions

5. Custom Duty Draw back and follow-up for recovery

6. Correct accounting of Fixed Assets and WIP on an ongoing basis and includes disposalstoo.

7. Financial Reporting on monthly basis.

b. Finance:

1. Systematic and complete compliance of all FEMA and RBI requirements.

2. Providing information regarding transactions to RBI and other Bankers

3. Recovery of Customer dues

4. Import and Other For expayments

5. Letter of Credit and Bank Guarantees

6. Preparation of Financial Budget for various Cost Centers and monitoring

c. Costing:

1. Preparation of Cost related data and regular updates

2. Involvement in Cost Control measures

3. Inventory valuation

4. Monitoring and ensuring ongoing Project Costs within Budget

d. MIS Reporting:

1. Reporting Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet

2. Prepare information for Reporting to Head Quarters

3. Report on Key Result Areas

e. Statutory Audit:

1. P&L Account and Balance Sheet

2. Verification of Capitalization and calculation of Depreciation

3. Cash Flow statement as per Company Lawrequirements

4. Information required for various Audits

5. Interaction with Auditors up to Finalizations.

f. Statutory Compliancesunder:

1. Central Sales Tax /VAT / GST:

• Verification of monthly data for preparation of Sales Tax / VAT Returns / GST and preparation of periodicReturn.

• Liaison with consultant to ensure correctness and completeness of the Returns.

• Reconciling the figures in Sales tax Summary with Ledger Accounts.

• Preparation of various information, required for personal hearings during Sales Taxassessments.

• Attendance of personal hearing for Sales Taxassessments.

• Preparation of documents for VAT audit and providing information required by the auditors for timely completion ofaudit.

• Ensuring proper interpretation of Central Sales Tax and VAT regulations to ensure that all available benefits are availed in the interests of thecompany.

• Providing Central Sales Tax and VAT related guidance and interpretations to Sales and purchasedepartments.

2. IncomeTax

• Preparation of information for Income Tax Audit and verification of that prepared byothers.

• Prepare information and filing of Corporate Income Taxreturn.

• Prepare various details for income tax assessment / hearings.

• Ensuring that TDS related laws are fully and correctly complied with on a timelybasis.

• Calculation and payment of fringe benefit tax and preparation and filling of annualreturn.

• Ensuring that all applicable laws regarding withholding tax are complied with.

3. Excise

• Ensuring proper and timely maintenance of Excise related data and filing of allreturns.

• Preparation of applicable information for Excise audit, from the Books ofAccounts.

• Analyze purchase transactions to enable obtaining of maximum benefits for thecompany.

4. ServiceTax

• Analysis and accounting of service tax on all applicabletransactions.

• Proper and times calculations of Service tax liability and compliances including filing of periodic returns.

• Ensuring service tax credits are properly accounted for in the books ofaccounts.

• Providing Service tax related guidance and interpretations on transactions of purchase of service while ordering and later.

5. BankingCompliances

• Submission of applicable information to banks from time totime.

• Liaison with theBankers.
