Job Description


2.0 JOB TITLE : Associate Manager-Logistics


3.0 REPORTS TO : Manager - Logistics

4.0 DOWN LINE REPORTING : None

5.0 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

5.1. Customer Service.

5.2. Production Planning and Inventory Control.

5.3. Raw Material and Packing Material Planning.

5.4. Procurement of Raw & Packing materials both Import & Locally.

5.5. Obtaining quotes for Raw & Packing materials and making cost comparisons.

5.6. Follow up with supplier for delivery of materials as per schedules, Zero down time for want of any Raw material & Packing materials.

5.7. Selection of vendors based on quality and price.

5.8. Dealing with CHAs and Freight Forwarders.

5.9. Providing accurate Purchase Price Variances and forecast for monthly procurement.

5.10. Taking care of Import shipping documents.

5.11. Monthly material requirement to warehouse.

5.12. Comparison for material usage Vs procurement.

5.13. Obtaining quotes for transportation and making cost comparisons.

5.14. Coordinate with warehouse team for the inbound goods and with Quality dept. for SPC.

5.15. Working closely with suppliers and customers to improve operations and reduce cost.

5.16. Communicating needs & objectives to managers & key personnel in logistics & distribution.

5.17. Monitoring data management to keep accurate product, contract, pricing and invoicing information.

5.18. Job involves lot of supervision and co-ordination with the suppliers, vendors, other functions.

5.19. It also requires communication and interactions with Supply and Customer Departments, Quality, Engineering & Warehouse

5.20. Ability to achieve respective Logistics & Purchase function KPIs as per the targets.

5.21. This job description is subject to change by the Management to suit changing requirements from time to time.

5.22. Maintain Safe & Healthy work environment including safety of people, assets & properties of the company

5.23. Should be aware of the EHS Policies & Procedures

5.24. Reporting of EHS activities /concerns /incidents /near miss and accidents

5.25. Ensure no injuries at workplace
