About the team
In today’s highly competitive private equity market, firms must not only deliver superior returns, but also respond to more stringent reporting requirements and increasing demands for information – both from within and outside their organization. Throughout the industry there is mounting pressure on organizations to do more, requiring a clear technology strategy that not only addresses the demands of today, but also enables the growth and performance of tomorrow.

This position will focus on our next generation securities processing platform which integrates multiple FIS solutions into a unified offering that services multiple personas. As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will interact with fellow designers and various other functions on cross-functional agile teams (e.g. product managers, business analysts, QA and developers).
Primary responsibilities:
You will be responsible for all aspects of software interface design including audience and task analysis, scenario building, storyboarding, prototyping, and defining interface specifications, guidelines, and standards.
You will conduct user research (e.g. user interviews, surveys, contextual inquiry) and translating requirements and research findings into effective design decisions
You will collaborate with engineers and business analysts to design effective interaction models for complex financial applications
You will also collaborate with design team on developing and maintaining common guidelines and standards

You have hands-on experience with design/prototyping tools (e.g. Axure, Sketch) and a strong knowledge of user-centered design process and practices.
You have the ability to communicate ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner.
You are a strong problem-solver, with analytical and information organization capabilities

Experience working with financial applications
Experience with integrating UX disciplines within an agile development process
Experience with mobile UX design

  • Degree or equivalent
  • ITIL v3 Foundation or higher desirable

  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion
  • Attention to detail – track record of authoring high quality documentation
  • Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements
  • Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
  • Willing to travel occasionally (no more than 10%)
