Job Description
• Promote well-being and facilitate all round development of students to be a responsible citizen of the country by being a friend, philosopher & guide to them.
• Development of pride/esteem in the students by enabling living of NTTF values, such as respect for fellow human beings, Integrity (honesty in thought, word & deed), discipline, cleanliness, personal & professional quality, gratitude, fairness etc. This is to be done by seeking coaching & mentoring moments during student's stay in the hostel and encouraging participation in extracurricular activities.
• Be personally responsible to mentor & address life issues of mentees specifically allotted from time to time.
• Maintain clean and healthy environment at the campus; ensure provision of hygienic & quality food & drinking water.
• Maintain a data base /appropriate records of students/parents for communication in times of emergency.
• Develop close relationship with & get to know students understand their background / circumstances intimately, special attention to be given wherever necessary
• Ensure student's focus on learning/assignments etc., during study hours.
• Proper discipline/hygiene and cleanliness by students at the hostel. This would include dealing with disciplinary matters and health related problems/issues that may arise.
• Monitor & control entry & exit of students and other guests visiting hostel. Maintain appropriate records.
• Close check on nature of visitors to be done appropriate remedial steps to be taken, if warranted
• Liaison with local police & government/statutory bodies.
• Maintenance of cleanliness, hygienic in hostel & canteen premises.
• Timely provision of quality & hygienic food and drinking water
• Proper maintenance of furniture, equipments provided at the hostel premises.
• Ensure rooms, toilets and washrooms are clean.
• Plan for & recommend up gradation of facilities as required
• Encourage students to participate in sports/games/cultural activities
• Organizing blood donation, village camp & other activities organized by the institute
• Based on interest talent, encourage participation by students in co-curricular activities such as QC/work skills/technical competition.
• Coordinate the collection of fees from the students.
• Support student enrollment @ NTTF by visiting nearby schools etc.,

NTTF - an educational foundation established in the year 1963 - is the living symbol of Indo-Swiss co-operation; aimed at promoting purposeful Technical Education for the youth of India. The seed was put in place at Thalassery (Kerala), in the year 1959. Ghandy, Advisor to the Chairman, Telco Construction Equipment Company Ltd, Mr. R. Srinivasan, former managing Director, Widia India Limited (currently Kennametal India Limited), Mr. Aroon Raman, Managing Director, Raman Fibre Science Pvt. Ltd, Mr. R. Rajagopalan, Director-Finance, NTTF and Mr. N. Reguraj, Managing Director, NTTF.

All NTTF programs and related curriculua are updated and revamped under a team of eminent personalities representing academia and industry. Currently the Academic Council is headed by Mr. M. S. S. Varadan.

The training activities are managed by Mr. N. Arulselvan - COO and Director (Training), NTTF, and Mr. K. Venugopal - COO and Director, NTTF; assisted by a well-trained and dedicated faculty.

NTTF offers various programs at the Postgraduate Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, Post Diploma, Diploma and Certificate levels, apart from various non-formal/vocational programs. All programs offered by NTTF are employment-oriented and industry-focused. A Faculty Development Centre is coming up at the NTTF facility in Dharwad (Karnataka).
