Thorough experience in commissioning Plan of Generator and all related Electrical systems including switchyard for 500/600/660MW (both Sub Critical and Super-critical) in at least 2 projects.
Deep knowledge of Protection systems for Generator and its auxiliaries, Generating Transformers, UAT, SAT, Switchyardboth outdoor and Indoor (GIS) systems for 500MW and above Thermal Power Plant.
Prepare and execute the Pre-comm/ commissioning plan for Generator & it’s Aux to meet the target schedule.
Hands-on experience in Commissioning AVR, Generator Protection Relays, Transformer ( GT, UAT, SAT) Protection relays, and SwitchYard control.
Familiar with Relay testing of various OEM’s make.
Familiar with Generator Auxiliaries and should be well versant with commissioning schedule and implementing catch up plan in case of schedule delay and prepare proper reports.
Good knowledge and should have hands-on experience in Turbine/Generator start-up, conducting Generator No load tests, Synchro tests, and AVR Load Up tests.
Should have a good knowledge of PSS including tuning, and familiar with Grid codes will be added advantage.
Should be a team leader to lead group of Engineers to take care of all electrical systems in power plant including PCC, MCC’s, Motor’s( both HT and LT) test etc.
Good knowledge of EDG, UPS and station batteries and relevant system.
Able to foresee and plan the critical spares and consumables required till the end of Commissioning.
Should have a good experience in planning Critical as well as Mandatory spares for commissioning as well as for O&M for the Various Electrical system including Generators. Also should be conversant in preparing the required Routine and planned maintenance schedule for the Plant electrical systems as per the OEM’s recommendation.
