Job Description

TELECOM FRAUD MANAGER - VOICE

Main Responsibilities

1. Get rapidly acquainted with the current Fraud Management TEAM 
a) Global wholesale Carrier in the area of International Voice Wholesale Telecom

b) Fraud Management Team (FMT) supporting Principal from Mumbai

c) Support is provided to Sales teams globally.

2. Study and understand the current and future requirement in cooperation with the Fraud Management Team (FMT) and the Principal’s relevant management on one hand, and with the regional Sales and routing reams on the other hand.

a) Analysis of the global voice fraud situation and its impact on the voice wholesale market

b) Understand key geographies and fraud traffic flows

c) Understand the key fraud types of voice wholesale business

d) Understand their key characteristics and detection mechanisms

3. Study and understand the Anti-Fraud System (AFS) currently in place.

a) "Captura" is a near-realtime, pre-mediation CDR based state-of-the-art detection tool

b) Traffic is checked against dynamic profiles and fixed detection rules

c) Machine learning and Fraud Experts are combined to maximum detection efficiency

4. Based on the above, review and refine the overall Fraud Management strategy and implementation.

a) In cooperation with the Principal’s direction, the fraud manager will have core responsibility to propose to the Principal, after in-depths analysis, the possible use and optimization the anit-fraud strategy and operation.

5. Refine and optimize in particular the current and future use of the AFS.

a) The fraud manager will have core responsibility for the analysis, the use, the optimization and the ongoing management of the tool.

b) In particular, customer- or product specific detections and monitoring will increasingly be required

6. After an introduction time, take responsibility for the FMT.

a) The above tasks are completed in cooperation with the FMT, under the leadership of the Fraud Manager.

b) The Fraud Manager will gradually take the full responsibility of the efficient running of the FMT.

c) Leading by example will be the key factor for a successful mandate

7. Ensure technical & other coordination both internally & with customers or AFS, with special focus to Sister companies of the Principal.

a) Under the guidance of the Principal, the Fraud Manager might have direct support contact namely with the mobile sister company of the principle

8. Regular, comprehensive, transparent & timely reporting to remote line management.

a) Fraud reporting is a new focus area of particular immediate importance.

9. Handle the internal administrative elements and applications.

10. Handle the liaison between FMT and solution vendor transparently.

a) Under the guidance of the Principal, develop and operational cooperation with the support specialists of the Vendor

Skills/Qualifications

1. International Voice Telecom exposure in general.

2. Experienced in team management.

3. Proven track record of several years of work in Fraud Management in the voice CARRIER industry. Experience in the Mobile Industry is an advantage

4. Experienced user of an AFS.

5. Experience with introducing Fraud Management to Voice environment.

6. Experienced in reporting to an overseas management.

7. Experienced in daily and periodical figure and visual reporting.

8. Excellent interpersonal cooperation and communication skills.

9. Ideally, experience in working abroad, either through travel or prior permanent work.

10. Excellent, proven command of both written and spoken English.

Location: The position is based in Mumbai.
