Technical Data Steward (Data Analyst)

Job Description :

The Technical Data Steward will be responsible for ensuring quality and clean master data to enable enterprise level reporting and analytics. Some key responsibilities include:
Required Function 2:
Works with data owners to define & document guidelines, business rules, standards, and processes for managing master data and meta data.
Required Function 3:
Merging master data across ERPs (ex. Customer ID, Product ID, etc). Staging/augmenting the data as needed based on business rules.
Required Function 4:
Managing core metadata based on documented business rules and standards (ex. a drop down for business unit). Managing data quality issues and takes corrective action when needed.
Required Function 5:
Promotes and ensures compliance with all data governance policies, processes, and procedures. Documenting current state for master data across the enterprise, including people, process, & systems.
Required Function 6:
Developing short-term and long-term master data management applications.
Additional Job Requirement 1:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Academic qualification or professional training and experience in legal and regulatory areas are also desirable.
Additional Job Requirement 2:
Manufacturing industry experience, a plus. Master Data Experience, required
Additional Job Requirement 3:
Experience pulling and merging data from multi-ERPs/source systems, required. Experience making data usable to the end users.
Additional Job Requirement 4:
Experience working in a complex data environment. Agile Delivery Experience, a plus. CRM Experience, a plus. Data Warehouse development experience, a plus. Ability to write SQL queries, a plus.
Additional Job Requirement 5:
Experience with data analytics using tools like Microsoft Analysis Services & Power BI, a plus.
Additional Job Requirement 6:
Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at all levels to understand business requirements. Proven data literacy — the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options. The ability to translate among the languages used by executive, business and IT stakeholders. Analytical skills: outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with business information generation and analysis methods. Attention to detail.
