Job Description

1. Business Strategy Development

a. Work with business head in developing and promoting the businesses’, aims and strategic objectives.

b. Contribute fully to the businesses’ overall strategy and direction, the effective functioning of the organization, the promotion of strong partnerships within and outside the company

c. To lead the annual business planning for the business in line with the Strategic Direction.

d. Assume joint responsibility, with other business leaders, for business unit and the achievement of the business unit’s strategic objectives.

2. Business Planning & Improvement

a. Gather strategic business intelligence, undertake market analysis, regular marketing monitoring, competitor data analysis, demographic and economic profiling to assist and advise the business to identify opportunities for development.

b. Ensure that clear objectives are formed to deliver the agreed plans and regularly review performance against these objectives.

c. Review and evaluate investment proposals and recommend build vs. buy decisions for the respective business unit in Trident

d. Creation of a workable annual business plan. (The plan will have clear objectives, milestones and performance indicators for the business and will be supported by the business head.)

e. Deliver year-on-year efficiency improvements within own area of responsibility and actively support organisation-wide approaches relating to efficiency and cost savings (where dependent on and led by strategy).

3. Scorecard Creation, Review and Monitoring

a. Creation, Review and Monitoring of the Business Scorecard

b. Follow up for action on improvements

4. Business Level Improvement Projects

a. To identify and manage business level improvement projects through the support of multiple business partners

b. Review and monitor the performance of business level improvement projects and highlight progress to the Business Head and Head – Group Strategy
