Job Description:

Overall EHS Coordinator for the Plant responsible for developing and implementing good EHS procedures , Training and monitoring EHS compliances; complete all statutory compliances as per Pollution control requirements and Factories Act. Operate the ETP section efficiently and meeting all staturoy guidelines.
A graduate in Science/Engineering / Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized Institute. With more than 6 years experience handling Safety in a Chemical/Petrochemical/Pharmaceutical industry. Should carry understanding of Chemical Safety, Static Hazards, Occupational Health requirements, Safety Permits systems, Good Safety standards, Legal requirement under Factorys Act and Pollution Control Rules. Good communication skills and training skills. Systematic and Analytical minded.Desired Profile:

The incumbent is responsible for developing good EHS systems and procedures, training all personnel and implementing the same for the Plant.
He shall ensure correct use of Safety Permits for all work taken up in the Plant

He is responsible for ensuring all Safety Inspections are prepared and completed on schedule.

He shall prepare applications, submit the same for renewal of Consents to Operate under Air, Water Acts and Haz Waste Authorization.

He shall audit the site operations on EHS compliance and report non-compliance. He is responsible for closure of all gaps through the respective Line Co-ordinates. He will act as the Secretary of the EHS Committee in the Plant and drive improvement through the committee members.
He is responsible for preparing the EHS improvement plans for the Plant and drive its implementation.
He is responsible for operating the ETP and other Waste management facilities in the Plant and also ensure all waste disposals are carried out as per statutory guidelines
He is responsible for ensuring compliance to all Safety Inspections in the site.
He would co-ordinate with the regulatory authorities to obtain clearances of various Licenses and Consents from time to time.
He shall submit all statutory reports to Pollution Control Board.
He takes responsibility of training all personnel on EHS matters and is authorized to approve personnel to take key responsibilities on Safety for the Plant viz Fire fighters, First Aiders etc.
