You will work towards mee ting and exceeding monthly sa les objectives and customer satisfaction stand ards by prospecting, cold–calling, networking, forecasting p otential markets, generati ng leads, and then closing sales with new and existi ng clients. You will manage all phase s the B2B and B2C sa les cycle right from identifying prospective clients, negotiating deals with new an d existing c lients, clos e deals, wo rking closely with various cross functio nal teams t o ensure product delivery and highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Roles a nd Responsibilities

1.  Store Sales

 Monitor the performance of the And So Store

 Develop sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assign ed area.

 Conduct market research to understand competitors and market trends.

 Provide innovative ideas and suggestions to improve the m arket prese nce.

 Build sales culture and sale centric atmosphere among the team members.

 Conduct business plan review meetings with s ales team.

 Will play a key role in sales for ecasting; an nual budge ting; sched uling expe nditures; analyzing variances; ini tiating corrective actions

2. Business Development and Sales

 Identify and develop new business opportunities at B2B and B2C channels by promoting products to new and existing clients.

 Own the entire process, client acquisition and management, deal acquisition and management, oversee delivery, and ensure client receivables. This would include working with all internal stakeholders including planning, retail, warehouse, finance and related teams.

 Approach new businesses with proposals.

 Manage and maintain sales / clients database.

 Establish & maintain efficient relationship with new and existing clients

 Generate new business opportunities in assigned territories and channels

 Create proposals for target clients with relevant info and quotes

 Manage clients’ / projects’ receivables and cash collections in light of preset financial KPI

 Ensure clients have positive experience by communicating effectively pre and post deal process.

 Use quantitative and qualitative customer insights to drive a sound product strategy.

 Launch new products and ranges, with a lead in market potential, competitiveness and desired product quality.

 Collaborate with various retail channels and facilitate better sales and performance for the category.

 Develop and execute a seasonal calendar; manage the team calendar and lead the weekly cross‐functional team meeting.

3. Working with Cross Functional Team

 Work closely with relevant departments in finance, marketing, product, retail, warehouse to ensure efficient operation in terms of product availability, storage, delivery & after sales service.

 Particularly would need to work very closely with design and product teams to ensure desired product availability.

 Collaborate with the Design team to agree on the season’s look and product direction.

 Work closely with marketing team to design required promotion and awareness campaigns for target market / clients.

 Liaison with Marketing and Design teams to develop seasonal online/ in‐store campaigns.

4. People Management

 Build and maintain employee morale

 Ensure that high standards of grooming amongst all members of the team

 Provide timely feedback to the sales personnel regarding their performance.

 Develop performance improvement plan for sales team to meet performance goals

 Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures among staff.

 Identify Training and development inputs required by the And So Store staff to equip them with the skills to understand and fulfil consumer needs.

 Appreciate the contributions and accomplishments of sales employees through proper rewarding mechanism.

5. MIS and Sales / KPI analysis

 Review sales performance of And So Store and Team periodically in terms of the sales as well as relevant retail KPIs

 Bring about changes in operations and sales processes based on the above analysis.

 Ensure timely & accurate information/ communication from the Store to the head office, pertaining to sales and competition in the area for periodic reviews.

6. Systems and Processes

 Establish processes and systems required and regularly monitor them.

 Establish effective tracking and reporting for review with the Strategic Advisor and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

 Implement operational best practices and processes as mandated by the company

What We Require

 Bachelors/ Master degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or Retail Management

 8 – 12 years of successful sales experience in B2B and B2C sales

 Effective Communication Skills (Oral, Written, Group Presentation)

 Aptitude for organization, flexibility and producing results in a fast paced environment.

 Strong pre‐existing relationships with Real Estate, Interior Designing companies.

 Feasibility studies and analyses mainly in retail businesses

 Business acumen and understanding of the retail business cycle

 Good Knowledge of capital structuring, financial modeling & Forecasting

 Good knowledge in marketing, market research, corporate communications

 Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

 Ability to work under pressure and deal with tight challenging deadlines

 A Self‐motivated and Self‐directed, Self‐starter – high energy levels, who is, able to collaborate actively with a cross‐functional team

 Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team

 Ability to deal with ambiguity and change

 Good experience in Project Management

 Strict adherence to company policies and style

 Strong knowledge of common business applications (Web browsers, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as some experience with CRM tools

 Demonstrated high ethical and moral behavior, unquestionable integrity and character.

 Positive, Enthusiastic and Resourceful

 Formulates long‐term strategies and implements short‐term tactical plans that are cost‐ effective, efficient and realistic.

 Possesses a clear understanding of retail financial and merchandising measurements and how to impact them.

 Demonstrates knowledge of the brand aesthetic, target customer and of product trends.

 Experience with customer research, focus groups, analysis, surveys, etc.

 Demonstrates negotiation skills that secure beneficial outcomes.

 Demonstrates smart risk‐taking in business and product strategies

 Possesses strong presentation skills.

 Good Listener – will challenge constructively and respond well to feedback

 Should be open to extensive travel across the country as per requirements
